  3. Morning all, hope your well. A question - In the 1960s was there any small locomotive depots on the Irish rail system or was it just Inchicore works?
  4. Soundtraxx are also going down this route. It could be good as DCC has lagged behind in tech. Just need a decent Bluetooth connection . Also wouldn't need a base unit just 12 to 16 volts going to the track
  5. Oh well the money stays in my bank. Too modern for me, can we have some laminate coaches and grey freight stock
  6. So it is , oh well a freebee, and thankyou
  7. No longer available sorry
  8. Smallville & Wilkston HOn30. Is a fictitious Maine narrow gauge line set in the current period as a heritage line. Stock is Minitrains fournees, weathered, renumbered and detailed. I also have a Bachmann Baldwin. Stock at the moment is from the same companies but I have some American boxcars on the workbench. IT is run using DC control and is 5' long X 2'6" wide. It is built for exhibition use and goes into my car. Happy to travel for exhibitions.

  10. Lovely idea, just too long with the extension to the dock
  11. Hello all. I am having a think on the home/exhibition layout. I love the idea of a small terminus with a harbour side. Did CIE have any fish type vans in the early 60s or would the fish traffic have gone via road? Thanks as always Dave, Lancashire
  12. I thought I would put the question out there but after no replies I contacted IRM who came up with the answer , jus thought I would let people know, that's all
  13. IRM says mid 60s, so lovely jublee
  14. Morning all. The IRM A12 with half yellow nose, what year did it receive that please ?
  15. Morning all, how do I delete an article? And when did the 121s become cab forward only
  16. No trainsets but a lovely class 121 in grey and yellow from my wife, well chuffed
  17. No not me, I purchased my first one with money from my paper round, I was into Airfix kits before trains. I would say I'm not a collector, I purchase for Exhibition layouts I'm building at the time, then once it goes, so does the stock. Not this Irish stuff though, the IRM A is beautiful in light green and I have a request for a grey 121 in with Santa , they could be around for a while. Happy Christmas to you all and a better 2023
  18. Another quick question, did the steam heat vans run with 6 wheelers?
  19. I'm struggling to find photos of Irish 6 wheel coaches in any of my Irish railway books. Do I order a couple, or do I leave it and put the money towards silverfox bogie stock. Also if I order, dark or light green for a layout from 1961- 1965
  20. I have contacted Howes models as they are the one that do the sound card. Maybe it's worth contacting them yourself as well
  21. There is a diesel shunter that has running crossley engine, it was taken from there, check the sound file on roads and Rails, does sound good
  22. You could use the BR class 28 as it had the same crossley engine, look at roads and Rails
  23. I only picked the name as I liked it. The proper station is large This Is the little building I picked up on eBay, the supplier left the windows out and drain pipes off so I could paint them in cie colours
  24. Check out model railway layouts for BALLINROBE
  25. Complete new updates due soon
