Nothing It was a mess in 60s so in 50 years it would be a mess
  3. Is a GNRI station?
  4. It looks like a midland hotel design so a siding on the Clifton line after it was closed.
  5. That livery is lovely I seen a model of the engine in that livery and it looks lovely as well. Is the green GSR green?
  6. Hey all I working on a model of a Midland C class before it rebuild. The question is should I use thin pieces of brass (Like 7-12mm) here is how the side will be built as one whole price. I would also like to add this question what is the best way to cut brass. If a topic like this has already be created sorry and could you leave a link to it please. Hope you all like.
  7. The engine has such a pesonality I believe it was called Achill when working on the line in the 1890s
  8. Lovely stuff
  9. Interesting history number 90 is always reminded me of the engine used to build the Achill line that ended up with the GNRI and St Patrick (not the c class) but the only engine bought the LLSR in 5ft 3in gauge. Both are lovely engines.
  10. My first real ideas of building Moate in the 1920s was when I saw a LSWR model of Semely in England. Right know I am building the mocks up engines For Moate Today I am working on a C class.
  11. Lovely stuff My future OO gauge layout will only focus on small traction would 100 be as long as a juntie chassis
  12. Have already done so thank you for showing it Ihavr also been looking at the loco builder which is a great help.
  13. Really The Cs are one of my favorite engines one question I would like to ask everyone and that is how to cut and draw irregular curves. The reason being is that the Cs have a lots of curves and I don't know how to cut them. If someone could help it would b great as I will probably be starting building on Monday as I am getting some brass.

If the GSRPS had something like a J26 with 90 they would have been ground to work Fenit to Tralee.I think the reason we have preservation is because of Gunness as the triggerd a load of events that got the RPSI where they are today. The Thing I hate is we are going the same way about liverys as Britain and we are doing more UTA and CIE liverys. Why won't we have 184 in The livery It carried on the train from Broadstone to Palace east. Now that was a Livery.
  16. Thanks Colin and Galteemore but I have decided not to go through as the model was not that great and did not spend enough time researching the engine instead I am going to go a bit crazy by going O and building a C class in original condition and painted blue. O is a big step but if done well will look good so I am going to research The C class an try and find some royal blue. I think the Dargan saloon is in the right shade? By the way should point out that I am not really a Newbie only that I have messed up quite a lot of times witch has given me lots of experience.
  17. Here is sone pics of it now orders the brass for the boiler hope you all like and if you could give any advice on this please do as I am a newbie

  20. Really my grandad had a love for history and had a book or two on the midland thus my love for the midland. He also did drawing of locos at streamtown junction but they were very basic.
  21. Before Murphys models only people who were a tab with brass or good with electrics The were the people (and still is) modifying hornby or Bachman engines. One things that amazes me is there is such a market for Diesel engines. The reason I thinks so is that Hal the modeler are -50.
  22. Interesting Thank God or what is there that people lik you have such a rich collection of artifacts.
  23. Here Some pics I would like to thank Mayner for letting me use drawings of the AS class so thanks.
  24. Love the pics there is one of those bikes at Castlerea tied to the roof. The place there is class.Must go there again.
