131 is IRRS engines preserved so it could displayed at Mallow tbut now the care of the RPSI who also have as well as 184 an 461 The G classes are all at Downpatrick own by the ITA or a one that is privitly owned. The rail car is probably the SLNCR rail car. That is in Inchacore last time I saw It There is also a NCC rail car at whitehead. The rest is probably at mallow or whitehead But I think the steam crane is at Downpatrick. The GSRPS have the ideas just not the stock they tried to reopen debit and loughrea branches but nothing came.

None have a engine between them but Downpatrick including the (Traction group) work with RPSI is the best solution.
  6. Great pics what is the is the wagon on the far right of the GSWR brake van and what happened to the GNRI ballast wagons?

we will probably never get something like west rail as there is no backbone I remember a helping on a committee for Moate station and they wanted to get 184 on static display with coaches at Moate ( It has to do with the train robbery moive thing) but he could never get into talks with the RPSI At the time I felt annoyed that they would not let us have it but know I am happy as they would probably do something really really stupid with it!
  8. Is there a model shop in clonmell?

Pity If it was still around maybe 184 and 186 would have a nice little home. They may of got more drivers by letting them get experience in England or something let's hope Maam cross will help or the new W class.

Operated between Tuam and Athernry the stock was number 90 two mk1s and a E class in a special livery only at west rail not an expert on the topic but I think it closed in 1992 and 90 went to Whitehead
  14. HI David You are lucky compared to others who do not the space to build the dream layout. For me I don't have a spare room so my workbench and future layout will live there. The layout is 12ft by 1ft with a 6ft scenic area and two 3ft storage yard so not big formations as for my workbench is a 6ft by 1ft office table but will have to change to something a jeweler would use to keep me old soldering iron.As well as inside I model outside and use a desk in my greenhouse. 15. IMG_1178.MOV Here is the work I have been doing random.
  16. Thanks By the way I forgot to mention it but the stock is beutiful. All the engines have really good paint jobs on the them.If only I could do something like that.
  17. Lesslie lovely layout you say it is exactly like Drew Donaldson whitch is true. The only thing is that all of drew engines were in Cie green as he liked them liked them in that color. In my own mind you should do some scenery as drew engines were class but look better in a scene than on lots of track. To prove it would you want to sea some of his engines in a formation on his layout or on a scene like the Inchicore model up at Cultra but it's you layout not mine and the hobby is meant to be enjoyed. MM
  18. Should have known my dad lived in Naas and walked around the station as a child salon juntion would be a nice little model withs it's carrier shed and double row engine shed.
  19. Waterford (sorry if it is not on the main line)
  20. Pity Cork? Dundalk?
  21. A engine shed in Ireland! Mullingar or Athlone?
  22. He may have seen the two sugar engines as they were privitly owned back then.
  23. Forgot about that I though the only engines at Broadstone were the two sugar engines but I think all work at Broadstone ended in 1965 and was then used as a long siding
  24. Looks class Tunnel looks so realistic.
