  1. There's not many great videos of them in action in proper service on youtube, but here are a couple http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=55026&nseq=6 http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=71209&skip=3'>http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=71209&skip=3 http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=71209&skip=3 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2378409 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2378418
  2. Hi David, welcome to the site. Not my era or interest to be honest, but that is some superb modelling. I look forward to seeing more, you might end up converting me!
  3. They usually ran in pairs with an SD40-2, but I've seen them in all sorts of lash ups, including three of them (!) as well as other GPs and SD40-2s.
  4. I find MB Klein (http://www.modeltrainstuff.com) and http://www.trainworld.com the best David, try some ebay stores too.
  5. Haha, I know, will have to have some generous curves when I finally build my own one! I sure did, two sound chips for an extra $100 dollars? Had to be done! My poor poor wallet!
  6. A's and Mark II's; dream combination!
  7. Ok, is the shaft at the other end clicked in correctly? And is the plastic cap which goes on top of the gear tower holding the shaft in place clipped in?
  8. Pray I don't get stung for the VAT!
  9. Resistance was futile, one winging its way to West Dublin!
  10. Is the shaft in the flywheel correctly?
  11. Seamus, I have four of these at home but have never had to take a bogie out before. If you don't drop it in to the other Seamus let me know and I'll have a look at mine to see if I can work it out!
  12. Those BR10s are fabulous looking locos, thanks for sharing!
  13. Gent, thanks for that. Is that including return workings?
  14. I don't suppose you know the timings for these additional liners? Particularly around Kildare?
  15. Around 70 notes I'd say Seamus. Mind you, I might have a cunning plan....
  16. The other problem the Bachmann one has is that it's Bachmann, who are dreadful when it comes to yank stuff. Nothing like Bachmann we have here and the UK, avoid at all costs.
  17. I'm really trying very hard to resist these, and your link isn't helping Anthony!
  18. Saw a 12 D Levante rolling down Nassau Street this morning around 9:15, white with Aircoach branding. They would look good in blue.
  19. Hi Magpie and welcome to the site. I have moved your thread from the layout section to the workbench section as it's better suited to this area. Fantastic work, and looks great so far. Have you found the kit difficult to build? Would like some Park Royals myself...
  20. As it's North Wall, will you not need a container ship too? http://www.deansmarine.co.uk/shop/product_info.php/cPath/10_20/products_id/366 Not a bad price to be fair!
  21. Big fan of Faust, Neu and Can myself. Will check out some of those other bands. Who said the Germans don't make good music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uITESaEQMuY
  22. As delivered they weren't http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5057/5492158337_90edc1fe81.jpg
  23. Nice one, was unfamiliar with La Düsseldorf till now, going to check them out more.
  24. Will keep my eye out for one!
  25. Said it before and I'll say it again; What a machine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvKYrQ9lHs8&feature=g-u-u
