  1. Thanks Rich! We were disappointed with the seams on the original tooling, so we asked our factory to dial them down when we were going through the changes. We're delighted with the result. They're barely visible but you they're there. Just like the real ones.
  2. He's too busy building the extra DARTS needed for the expansion...
  3. Here's a sneak peek from our factory at our CIE bubbles before assembly. Don't they look great? I have to say; I do love them with the CIE roundel... Our factory are working round the clock to make sure they get here by the end of the month! Don't miss out on the best model of the most iconic Irish wagons. Place your order today http://www.irishrailwaymodels.com/shop
  4. Hi everyone, We’ve hit 700 likes on Facebook, and being ambitious types we want to get to 1,000. Can you help us? Like and share our Facebook page and we will give away a prize to one lucky person who ‘likes’ the Irish Railway Models Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/irishrailwaymodels Cheers!

      • WOW!
  5. It works if you're obviously willing to scratchbuild and kitbash everything required for the layout of course. Propriety track always looks a bit chunky to me, especially the height of the rails, but 2mm finescale looks very nice.
  6. That's a bummer. Luckily the Air Coach is cheap, reliable and faster than the train (sadly)
  7. We recently got this image from our factory in China and reminded us of toffee apples. Quite apt, since these are due around Halloween... They're getting closer, folks! Thank you for the orders so far. Make sure you get yours when they land on Irish shores, order now http://www.irishrailwaymodels.com/shop
  8. We feel it's our duty!
  9. Would love to see some really good images of it, but sadly I can't see myself persuading my fellow Irish Railway Models' crew that it would be a sound business decision to make it RTR!
  10. We threw a motley crew of wagons and coaches behind it too and ran it in the middle and end of train and it didn’t cause any hassle, unlike a wagon from a household name who will remain nameless!
  11. We want to ensure that our wagons run as good as they look, so we test them to make sure performance is up to scratch. Here is our cement bubble hammering through complex points, both being pulled and pushed and stalled to ensure they stay on the rails on our temporary test track. As you can see, performance was flawless. The bubbles are getting closer to our shores! http://www.irishrailwaymodels.com//shop It's also worth subscribing to our YouTube channel so you can see all the video content coming your way!
  12. Did you part with that railcar in the end for this?
  13. Hi Stevie, what error message are you getting? Are the pics too big?
  14. Cheers men. Glad you liked it!
  15. Hi everyone, We have just launched our first email newsletter; the Supertrain Times! Did you get it? We will be publishing it every quarter and it will outline all our latest news, updates and behind the scenes insights into how we research and produce our models. If you would like to receive our newsletter, you can sign up on the home page of our brand, spanking new website.
  16. I'm not a fan of commenting on another manufacturers products but I highly doubt that these are factory repaints of existing stock.
  17. Thanks Railer! Still a bit to do but getting there!
  18. We've chased the gremlins out of the building and down the road with Richie's soldering iron! Thanks Steve!
  19. Hi Everyone, Some of you may have received a number of emails/invoices from us today. We are currently updating our website and database and these were sent out in error. Please ignore them. Your orders have not changed and more importantly, you have not been charged for anything. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. If you have any further questions you can contact us at info@irishrailwaymodels.com The pain will be worth it though, as our new site is easier to use and looks a lot better. We hope you like it!
  20. remember this coach well from numerous trips to Landsdowne road from Pearse for matches as a lad. Always liked it. Would make a cool model.
  21. Don't you have a MM mark 2 like that too, Dave?
  22. Looking good, Dave. Really enjoyed my closer look at Hazelwood!
  23. As you can probably appreciate, it's been a insanely busy period for us Irish Railway Models folk. So much so that I hadn't actually got to play with my own set of ballasts and give them a run! I managed to rectify that a little when i paid a visit to my good friend Bren to have the craic as always and was able to give them a good long run. Apologies for the bang average video but I thought I'd capture a bit of the fun! [video=youtube;5d6-S2qkpSA] Remember, you can still order packs of ballasts online and we will have some at the October show for sale too! http://www.irishrailwaymodels.com/shop
  24. Excellent advice Noel and I would agree with all pointers. I'm about to put up a video which flies in the face of a lot of the advice above but conditions were somewhat against me, being on a step!
  25. Thanks for the kind words one and all! We cant wait to see them on some cracking layouts like we have done with the ballasts recently. Who will be first to weather them heavily I wonder?
