  1. Thanks for all the feedback lads, and not to sound too cheesy, but it would not be possible without your support and orders. We've seen a big flurry or orders coming in since we put the pics up, thank you so much for the support with your wallets. Jimbo, The buffers are a bit wonky from the hand assembly to fit parts. They're scale though. If anything, a lot of the RTR buffers on other products are a bit 'weedy' when compared with the real thing. I know it's a big criticism British modellers have about their models. We have them nice a meaty and with the correct spacing. Also, you'd be amazed at the small size of the wagon itself. The buffers stand out a bit as a result!
  2. Myself and Patrick took the wagon on a tour of the two Dublin Model Railway Clubs this evening to show the guys in the plastic. We received lots of positive feedback which makes it all so worthwhile. A big thank you to both clubs for their fantastic hospitality and thank you all for your orders and great feedback!
  3. Do they sound any different to a 141?
  4. Interesting to see that you all think it's a new product announcement, I just said it's news...
  5. Cheers Rich, it will be well worth it!
  6. Hi Everyone, Just a little note to say that Irish Railway Models will have some news this coming Wednesday evening. It will be well worth logging on for! Thanks, Irish Railway Models
  7. We're planning to make that announcement at the October show in Dublin but we will confirm closer to the time
  8. Of course! However, research for the artwork is one of the areas that's slowing us up a little. So if anyone has any photos and other reference material on the bubbles please PM me. All reference material will be used for research only, will be returned and not published publicly. The sooner we get them, the sooner we can make them!
  9. The development of the bubble is progressing quicker than expected, but is still a bit behind the ballast. When we get an update from the factory on timelines etc we will let you all know
  10. Hi Railer, Thanks for the feedback. Both the forum and Facebook are important channels for us, as well as the website. We did share a number of bubble CAD pics on the forum previously http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/5516-IRM-Cement-Bubble-CAD-Preview?highlight=Cement+bubble and the early tooling of the ballast wagon http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/5634-Irish-Railway-Models-Announce-Additional-Packs-of-CIE-Ballast-Wagons-in-4mm-Scale/page2 We'll do our best to make them stand out more and update our website further. As you can appreciate we're doing this on top of our day jobs so sometimes things can slip through the cracks. We will say now however, that you should all keep an eye on the forum next Wednesday evening (Aug 3rd) for some IRM related news
  11. Cheers Rich, finishing line is getting closer! I imagine one of us will write a book on it some day. You wouldn't believe how much work has to go on behind the scenes but we're truly grateful and delighted by the support from you all in the hobby. Without it this wouldn't be possible!
  12. Latest news from Irish Railway Models including artwork for all three wagon packs https://irishrailwaymodels.com/index.php/2016/07/27/artwork-complete-on-the-irish-railway-models-cie-ballast-hopper/
  13. Used them a good few times via mail order. Top notch crew to deal with. Find it great for freight cars!
  14. It sadly is!
  15. Hi Patrick, We're more likely to do a run in gypsum and dolomite guises in the future than undecorated packs.
  16. I missed pretty much anything of interest running today but I did bag my first raccoon! 233 Raccoon by franburke, on Flickr
  17. Happy Friday everyone! Here's the artwork for the first pack of Ballast Wagons. We hope you like them!
