  1. I wish China could work such miracles Jim!
  2. Hi Everyone, We thought we'd make it a really Good Friday for everyone by sharing some pictures of our tooling for the ballast wagon. They're getting ever closer! We're currently working on the artwork and awaiting test shots from the moulds. We're also working away on the bubble and will be able to share some pics of its progress real soon!
  3. 16 bids too! Eagerly awaiting mine
  4. A couple from my usual spot today of the Ballina - Northwall liner including some reference material of the container flats and an ICR all on my flickr... 233 on the Ballina - Northwall Liner by franburke, on Flickr
  5. 22248 by franburke, on Flickr Sorry Noel...
  6. Ally Pally used to be my local show once upon a time and was within walking distance of me. Must go back next year and revisit some of my old haunts too!
  7. Not a bad idea! Nice pics everyone!
  8. 072 was looking beautifully scruffy today. Would make an excellent weathering/detailing project. More pics of the materials train and 233 on the liner on my flickr! 072 by franburke, on Flickr
  9. What a deal! Who makes it and where did you get it?
  10. Discussion for 21mm has now been moved here http://irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/5458-21mm-discussion Let's keep this thread about Dave's collection. Cheers.
  11. Yes Noel it's the MRSI layout Dorset Street Junction. It's O scale and the A is scratch built.
  12. Excellent job, well done!
  13. It's okay JB, I'd take a Craven over all of them too.
  14. I believe the title of the thread is 'current Irish coaching stock' JB! haha Though Cravens will be out and about this Sunday I guess....
  15. It's funny, I find the seats of the 22ks way ahead of the Mark 4s, which are as hard as a board. Just goes to show you cant please everybody. Enterprise stock beats both easily though in my book. Mind you I havent been on any of the refurbished sets.
  16. I havent got any curves at all at the moment (well, apart from my backside and belly but that's a different story!) I think the overhang on the real thing means that even the most generous curves on the biggest layouts will still have it looking odd and possibly fouling stock coming the other way. I just cant say no to prototype trains from across the water though! Always thought it looked the business.
  17. I believe it was run on such tight curves to show that it can be run on 'trainset' layouts if so desired. I know Rapido found it hard to believe that such tight radius curves were commonplace on British layouts and needed to be catered for. Can't wait to receive mine.
  18. Was always a treat to see the collection when I visited Dave. End of an era, but onto your next project!
  19. Agree, Blaine you could be more courteous in your posts. Thanks.
