  1. It's like taking on a two front war Seamus, with A 39 lurking around waiting to be finished as well.
  2. Thanks Conor,I do hope to re chassis her in the future as the athearn sw1500 is a poor runner.
  3. I was delighted the way the van turned out Des. I drive a VW Caddy an post van at the moment and did buy a HO caddy van but is a little on the small size when beside the transit.I am on the lookout for Suitable OO vans to convert.
  4. I have two SSMs kits on the go at the moment with the Level crossing kit and 30 ton Break van I got yesterday.
  5. Some of my own weathered 141s, 187 and 142 weathered by Seamus Graham, 156 and 143 weathered by Anthony.
  6. Yes nice photos there. The NIR blue is growing On me to,however the IR livery is my Fav.
  7. IR back in the late 80s were very much under pressure for rolling stock. If I am not mistaken the mk 2 a-b coaches came from Vic Berrys scrap yard to plug the shortage. The mk3a coaches were former demo coaches built by BREL In the 80s for export market.
  8. The sound chip that was supplied was the lok pilot which as you know Is not cheap.I don't know Seamus if there is a cheaper chip that could be used just for the EGV sound. It does add realism to the train though.
  9. The sound chip was done by Mr Sound Guy.The EGV was built by Gerry Byrne with Bill Bedford overlays and even has a smoke generator built in.If any one wants one,I am sure Garrath in the Belfast shop Could get them.
  10. Here is a video I took of a MK3 EGV with sound and lighting that I got a loan of.Click on photo to view.
  11. Some photos of the MK3 a coaches. The first photo shows the driving trailer that work was carried out on but never finished.
  12. I have to say I am very happy with this site and thanks to Stephen for providing a well run site and the fact that we have a number of mods keeping a eye on things.
  13. Lovely job on the wagons Bud.
  14. Would a class 20 or 25 sound chip be close on the B101s?.
  15. I dont know the full story on what happened to 146,but she did get a entire full front of the cab rewelded back in place. The day that I was there with Anthony and Keith (Mrsound Guy) was a stunningly fab day.I was in such high spirits that on the way back we got some grub in Anthonys house and I could not eat anything due to the rush of A39 to the head.
  16. Good God that's fantastic.just wondering could you set this loco on a bit of track and put it on a part of the West Cork System.first C class In 50 years.
  17. Very nice collection there Noel.I love those yellow school buses.I wanted to buy some but are not for sale at the moment.
  18. Glad ye liked the photos. The sound chiped locos do sound far better in Gerrys house as the general noise at the show drowns them out a bit.
  19. I remember you wanting to weather A39 ROFL. The ITG have done a fab job on her,as you can see with the condition of the engine room. A lot heavy cleaning and painting, and the same can be said for 226 in Carrick as the work is simply fantastic when you consider how long restoration is going on with limited manpower.
  20. Now thats what you call a proper attic.Nice job Dave:)
  21. As my own layout is still under construction,I thought Id post up a few photos of Gerry Byrnes Ballybeg that I took a few months back.
  22. As far as I know during the 90s all the 071 class had major cab rebuilds which Replaced a large area under the cab side windows and cab floor and particulary around the headlight area. The remaining token catcher plate seemed to disappear then or am I wrong?.Was 082 the single loco that got name plates as Patrick said. Have some photos of cab rebuilds in the albums-must get them out.
  23. You never know.Maybe.When you think back ten years ago who would have thought what goodies we have now.
  24. I know what you mean, but I suppose the SF A and C class are not bad when you consider the Q kits and Lima class 33 repaint.
