Yes, they were three separate ones. I didn’t think it worth trying to combine it all later on. DPD - and others - regularly leave things exposed if you're not in. I wonder what the theft rate is nowadays.

Logic? It looks like they pack whatever came out of the consignment boxes first and get those away. I had the black/orange Park Royal turn up on Saturday afternoon (Royal Mail). That was followed by the Hunslet on Sunday (left exposed on the doorstep by DPD), and the green Park Royal some hours after (Royal Mail again).

Seems my Hunslet was delivered by DPD to the doorstep yesterday. Regauging should be gas.

I only wanted the preserved examples, so two were quite enough. Regauging is the important thing.

For a 1:87 model, it would have to be regauged to 18.37mm to represent 5ft 3in.

There is if you work to P4 standards. AGW produce electrically-live 12mm disc wheels (which I had several of for the Mk2 bogies) so it is technically possible to swap the IRM wheels using the same stub axles without needing converter bushes. It will require suitable press tools, though. -

Could it possibly be that tightening the grub screw knocks the axle slightly off-centre? If so, it may help to file a flat on the axle section where the grub screw makes contact or drill into the axle so that the grub screw can lock in without pushing the axle out of alignment

I think the geartrain is snatching. Is there swarf or grit trapped in the gear teeth or the worm?

They're only trouble if they're not eased sufficiently. Pinning them seems to work if you're careful about drilling through into the axle. AGW axles are less forgiving than Ultrascale ones.
