  1. Main painting completed. The roof is just placed loosely in the photos. The original Triang coach roof is sandwiched inside and the Triang roof bolts are used to hold it down in service. Cheers Darius
  2. Primer coat applied. Cheers Darius
  3. Roof vents and door grab posts added. Cheers Darius
  4. Roof on. Cheers Darius
  5. Cab end completed. Cheers Darius
  6. Driving coach bodyshell assembled - apart from the cab end. Cheers Darius
  7. Great documentary. I have it on DVD along with “Monsoon Railway” and “Indian Hill Railways”. Cheers Darius
  8. Made a start on the remaining three coaches for the “Bombay Local” EMU set that I started in 2016. The coach bodies are made from plasticard and fixed to a modified Triang Mk1 coach chassis. 2016 Bombay Local construction thread here Cheers Darius
  9. Kit built hopper wagons out in the shed today… Cheers Darius
  10. Someone needs to get up to Magheramorne with a bag and a hammer, or, failing that, dig some out of the M2 embankment… Cheers Darius
  11. Hi Robert, A couple of Jeeps (at least) would be heading my way once someone (IRM hint hint) decides to produce rtr versions. I have just received some more Double Beet and Spoil Wagon kits from Leslie so these should keep me busy over the next few weeks. Cheers Darius
  12. Not sure if this has been posted before. If so, here it is again… https://player.bfi.org.uk/free/film/watch-moving-motorways-the-spoil-train-to-belfast-1967-online Cheers Darius
  13. Light weathering applied. Cheers Darius
  14. Spoil wagon painted and decals applied. Cheers Darius
  15. Hi John, I plan to use Phoenix enamel BR rail grey cut with a little blue - as I did with the two that I made previously. Cheers Darius
  16. Made a start on one of these this morning Cheers Darius
  17. Simply the beets. With apologies to the late, great, Tina Turner. Cheers Darius
  18. How I did the beet loads. Load support “tables” made from 2mm thick card and glued together using pva. Tabletops painted black (to stop any light card colour showing through) and tables dropped into the wagon. Neat pva applied to the tabletops and beets spooned on - pressing them in gently with fingertips. Beets secured in place using diluted pva - sort of ballasting with beets. Loaded wagons join the rake. Cheers Darius
  19. Two more completed. Beet loads to follow… Cheers Darius
  20. Hi John, For the base colour I airbrushed Phoenix “Rusty Nails” Track Colour enamel mixed with a little Matt Black and thinned for airbrushing. Once dry I misted on a weak coat of light grey. Sugar beet loads added. Cheers Darius
  21. Dunpaintin. Next step is to add the beets. Cheers Darius
  22. And then there were three… Cheers Darius
  23. Primer on. The detail on the resin moulded parts is superb. I’ve even got some model sugar beets with which to load the wagons. Strictly speaking they’re HO rather than OO but hopefully no one will mind… Cheers Darius
  24. First of five… Wonderful kit - goes together in about 30 minutes including parts clean up. With thanks to Provincial Wagons/Leslie. Cheers Darius
  25. Some haulage has been rostered… Cheers Darius
