  5. Evening all, The plan was simple. Get out of the office and drive to Tramore via Clonmel to photograph the 1625 Waterford - Limerick Jct. Then into Waterford to photograph the 1150 Claremorris - Waterford Timber arriving at Waterford. Finally pick up the Girlfriend off the 1640 ex Heuston and head out to Tramore. As I said the plan was simple..... Photographs got at Clonmel. Driving towards Carrick-on-Suir and debating whether to drop it for another time as time was tight to make the timber at Waterford. Then the gen text came in and read out over the car's Bluetooth. 082 failed mid section Carlow - Muine Bheag with the timber. Chaos about to descend onto the Waterford Line, therefore plenty of time to pop in to Carrick and amble onto Waterford to see the recent changes at this location. Sadly I never got to see the timber today A summary of delays to Waterford line services tonight due to the failure: The 1640 Heuston - Waterford terminated at Carlow and returned empty to Heuston. The 1735 Heuston - Waterford was 54 minutes late & the 1835 Heuston - Waterford was 30 minutes late arriving into Waterford. The 1825 Waterford - Heuston was delayed at Kilkenny and arrived into Heuston 36 minutes late. Finally, due to no available set the 1825 Heuston - Portlaoise was cancelled . The nominated train was stuck at Muine Bheag operating from Waterford to Heuston. This 3ICR (22061) eventually went empty to Wateford and will form the 0605 Waterford - Heuston on Saturday morning. 7. Evening all, I spent Saturday in East Cork to see the special 30 minute interval service between Cork - Cobh for the Irish Open Golf event at Fota Island. Two Four Car sets of 2600 Class DMU's were used on the majority of services, with one appearance of 3ICR 22009 on the 1600 Cork - Cobh, 1630 Cobh - Cork, 1655 Cork - Mallow service. A 3rd 4 car set of 2600's was also available for use. An additional unadvertised sweeper service was noted operating empty to Cobh to run behind the 1700 Cobh - Cork formed of this 3rd set. Other sweeper services may have run after this but I was heading for home at that stage. 3ICR 22048 was also employed on the Cork - Midleton service, thus releasing a 2600 to bolster the Cobh line service. Pictures from the day include: - Portlaoise - Limerick Jct. - Mallow. - Cork. - All East Cork Commuter Stations (except Carrigtwohill) and various lineside locations. Finally, contributor Mr. Church has provided me with a photograph of "mixed pair" 29017 + 29014 crossing the Loop Line Bridge with the 0712 Drogheda - Bray on Friday morning. Pictures begin at http://smu.gs/1uQpSLs Some sample images of the day. Click the link above for the full gallery. Enjoy, The Wanderer.
