  1. I have to say I'm astonished that the prestwin is not considered close enough to be used and if a completely accurate chassis is produced, then what bodies will be used with it? Any of the bodies currently available are designed with the prestwin in mind and will not fit.

  7. Hi Kieran, The intention is mainly just to supply the bubble and other main components if required. Details like pipework can be added by the modeller as desired.

  14. Hi John, The chassis is a straightforward injection moulded kit and the resin casting simply goes on top. There are no advanced skills necessary to complete these kits.
  15. Thanks! If these models are well supported there will be further releases.
  16. @Kirley, Yes, there will be brass parts for these in the kit. @Dave, We don't have a website at present but can be contacted through this site.

  19. It's too early to say but at this stage I expect the project may run into early next year.
  20. Hi Kieran, Still quite a long way off. There are a lot of De Dietrich and 2600 models to be built before I can really get some serious time into the project.
  21. PM sent
  22. The link below is a model of the Brazillian EMD GL8 http://cartelcaipira.ning.com/m/photo?id=2403785%3APhoto%3A143671
  23. Hi, The lights can be fitted to existing coaches or, if you have have specific coaches you would like, we can supply these with lights already fitted. If you let me know what coaches you'd like and how many, I can then quote you a price. David
  24. As far as I know the 121 class was an EMD export design and so didn't run in USA. There's a Wikipedia page about it http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_GL8. There is a Brazilian manufacturer that makes their version but it is very different to the Irish one and very expensive.
  25. Warbonnet, Mark has posted his personal opinion as he is entitled to do like any other member on this site. His opinion is not that of D&M Models, nore is there any agenda intended in his post. He is passionate about seeing excellent models produced and obviously wanted to give some feedback. The post you have just posted, that is obviously for his eyes only, should have been sent to him as a pm and I now request the you remove it from public view. You have drawn conclusions that one manufacturer is bad mouthing another and this is not the case. Thanks David
