From reading the various threads on the forum, David and Mark would appear to be holding a couple of thousand Euro in deposits from forum members, for orders which do not appear to have been fulfilled.

They have been in touch with forum members as recently as Spring 2023, if I recall correctly, stating that they wish to rebuild their reputation and resume model-making.

EDIT: Oops, thought you were on about D&M Models!

Yep i’m aware of the D&M situation. thankfully i had full delivery of my rakes before they struggled.

The poster refers to model shop belfast though.

Just had an email from IRM UK to the effect that I have a refund of about £35 for the single magnesite wagon that I ordered as part of the bundle of wagons in the total order.

Obviously it’s nice to get a refund but I did actually receive the full order, including the single wagon, so I’m curious as to what the refund is for - the email didn’t say…

    Cheers

    Darius

Thanks for the heads up Darius, seems the system assumed you hadn't gotten the single,, so refunded :) Enjoy

Very crisp indeed. What's the story with the black axles? Any particular reason you've changed the design there compared to the P42s?

The coaches all have full pickups (and on board stayalive) for interior lighting (and head lighting on the DTs) so the axles are insulated.

I received the 'ready to purchase' notifications for the mk2D's that I pre-ordered. However, I would like to get some clarification before I pay. The carriages are listed as e.g '5203 Irish Railways Mark 2d Standard - Irish Rail (Orange roof)', which I take to mean IR tippex livery with orange roof (exactly what I'm looking for). However, the description section for all of the 2D's states 'CIE Supertrain Livery'. Can anybody here shed any light on the matter?

    Many thanks!

The details are still placeholders, so only the header information is correct, in that case, its "5203 Irish Railways Mark 2d Standard - Irish Rail (Orange roof)" - everything else is placeholder information, pending any details from Mr. Murphy.

  6. The speaker configuration has been developed with EsU with the large tangband at 4 Ohms and the loksound and pcb working together. Bypassing the config and hooking the large speaker directly to the chip will most likely blow the speaker and definitely void your warranty , just for the record!

Just wondering if any more thought has been given to 21mm bogie and lighting kits for pre-IRM coaches?

The plan is to deliver the mk2b and c and def and a and park royals and laminates and mk3 and mk4 and everything else to our standard.
