Hello Colin, I've sold the 201 to a friend (he still owns me £15), but before I sold it on, I did check inside, the only wires there was to the motors, no bulbs, no lights, no wires ( apart from pick up ones) and one motor. My friend is hoping to respray her into 8208 in nir blue and will be putting in a new motor (Lima/hornby) and may be adding lights to her. Tony

Irish Rail was short on locos at one point and nir had wrecked 112, so nir had a deal that if they loan. 112 to Irish Rail,that Irish Rail had to fix her up, Irish Rail actually made 112 better than ever, but when she returned Nir wrecked her again. Info was given to me & I'm only saying what I can rember.

Hehe! Thank you. I grew up with this livery so I did.... Before mum got her drivers lisecence, me & her used to get the bus up to Belfast to do some shopping, sometimes we got the bus back home or my grandpa & nana gived us a lift. Other times, we used to get the train from Belfast to see my great granny (who is still living) & great granda (died in 2006), the train would more than often be a 80 class or a reare occasion, a 450 class in green strip, when it came 2005, it would stil be a 80 class, but this time with a new unit on the line, the CAF class 3000 or c3k for short along side with the 450 class, after 2005, my mum started driving, so riding the 80 became a rarer thing, although, there was that odd weekend I slept over at my nana grandpas and the train up to bangor. This is why that livery means a lot to me Thank you.

Red bull is my second fav ( the Big T makes 90 look happy ) My first is green strip, both suit the 80s well & both I grew up with

Oh, I just rembered, a wee boy (youtuber Luke Wilson) said to us during the mark 3 transfer that he wanted to put flowers on the mark 3, but unforntkey it wasn't possible with out trespassing, but I thought the idea was nice

I saw my first (& last ) MK3s today with a lovely GM EMD class 201/208 loco No. 8208. They will be getting the "chop of death" tomorrow at 8am.
