There's a pic in the excellent All Our Yesterdays - Irish Bashing group on Facebook showing some ferts in the sidings at Kildare (early 1990s), hardly still unloaded in Kildare then? Unless they were rogue wagons taken off a liner with hotboxes or something but seems unlikely as there's at least two... As an aside, I remember waiting in Dundalk with my Dad when I was 12 and seeing a 201 arrive with an absolute monster of a train comprising ferts, bubbles and kegs, there was a bit of a shunt to take the latter off there. I've some ferts on order to join my bubbles but I don't think I'll quite have the room for this size of train, to my young eyes it seemed to stretch for miles.

Sure he can want both? True story, I managed to travel behind both 201 Class No.231s on the same day, in the same province. ('Big' 231 being my motive power back to Dublin after C231's performance at the last ITG gala).

I worked in Argos many years ago and there was an 'Over 18s' shelf in the stockroom, the idea I think was to make us think twice about their age when picking such item for a customer... anyway, among the X-Rated games, DVDs, etc was the most sinister product of all: a Winnie the Pooh tea set. (it had a knife).

if I recall right spent most of its OHLE train life in one of the bays at Pearse and only moved down N Wall in its last few years? I think it had the company of a BR van in Pearse but could be misremembering...

Some of the mechanics described in The Third Policeman wouldn't out of place on a steam locomotive footplate (paying attention to readings and making adjustments etc.).
