Thanks Tom, that would be great if you do. Agree there is no comparison, I sold all my Limas bar one for Murphy's 201's, when put side by side you'll see why, never mind how they even run!
I've ordered on on a uk site through Parcel Motel, it says its the last one- that's what I was told the 3 times previously only to be told later it's gone, so fingers crossed!!! Thanks again lads (;-)
How does the Parcel Motel work then? Do you put their address in the delivery info & they tell you when its dropped off at the nearest machine to you??
Hi lads,
I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me out. I've been looking for the above 4 road engine road for ages now but I am having no luck,3 times I had it paid for only to be told it's out of stock!! I've found a few on sites in the UK but some are looking for ridiculous money to deliver it while the others are doing pick up only. Any help would be appreciated
I used White Spirit & cotton buds, works a charm. I then got the locos weathered properly. Nail polish remover is too strong but very handy for removing numbers/original decals
You got the livery colour spot on, exact colour of the 071, class!
It's like 50 shades of orange with my Mark 3's - There are 2 different orange shades on my original Lima ones (which are both wrong!) & ive a couple of Hornby re-sprays aswell. I need to get someone to re-spray the rest of my rake to match my Gen Van which is more like the real shade of orange. Another job for the to-do list!!
If she did get one it was the fastest ever as she was in service recently. 228 got a full overhaul a few weeks ago, thought she would be the first for a re-paint
No they dropped the Iarnrod Eireann under the side numbers. I'd say the spaced out 215 might be to facilitate the 'barcode' identify numbering at a later date.
Not a Photoshop, she came out of the paintshop 2 days ago & I passed her in Inchicore Loco shed yesterday. New logo looks well on her I think & current MM locos can be easily converted to the new look.
