I guess anything is possible but I think Martin will want to get the basics working first. It is a work in progress and still months away from a finished polished version I think. But it's all going in the right direction and for those requiring a custom gauge like 21mm it's extremely promising.

No need to dream Dave, the 141 is being rerun next year by PM and IRM are constantly releasing new freight stock so bide your time.
Aside and not directed at your comment Dave: Without being in any way disrespectful to Hattons who have announced some very fine models here (with ample consultation of a very knowledgeable forum member), we should bear in mind that it was two Irish companies that finally delivered a suite of high quality RTR stock to us. If we had waited for a GB manufacturer to cater to the Irish market we'd still be waiting and Hattons would not have produced these coaches because there would have been no market to cater to. So while I welcome some "bits n pieces" from new to the scene RTR manufacturers, I think our core support belongs with PM and IRM. It's better for the future of our hobby if we patiently wait for these companies to release the models we want. This is not a dig at anyone or any firm, just a statement of what I believe to be fact. Have a nice weekend folks
Phil, I agree with almost all of what you’re saying but the problem is that while IRM have hinted at producing everything in good time, we have no timeline for what will be produced if ever. I understand the economics of volume production but the simple fact is people have begged for additional stock from an earlier era and that has not been realized presumably because it is not economically viable unless it has a UK equivalent somewhere to make it a viable. The A class lasted well into the post 70s era which made it viable to produce in earlier liveries while most of IRMs offering continue to be new or rerun offerings after that. I have every IRM offering except the original Tara’s, with several doubles so pleas didn’t come in here saying I should support Irish. Like a decade ago I, like many of you, will settle once again for a British approximation for an Irish prototype in the absence of anything better to run. I have purchased all of these genesis coaches in Irish livery, double on the BnT brake to have some stock to pull. In this respect, not so much has changed since the Lima Class 33 for the pre 70s Irish scene.
When you look at the price of the Hattons offering in Sterling and add the light kit which you’d expect from any IRM offering that’s quite a lot for a two or triple pack of Irish coaches. I’d have preferred to pay more than that for something prototypically Irish. Maybe still not viable based on numbers, sure.
7 hours ago, BosKonay said:As a mini teaser, IRM has 13 new tooled lines to launch lining up for the coming year, as well as delivering on the ICR, mk2b and 2c and much more A little something for everyone too.
If you’re teasing under this thread and thinking of any earlier period prototypical offerings you could do worse than to announce that before people spent their hard earned cash on something they’d want to offload load in return. Whole load of wasted time and postage and not feasible for those outside the Brexit/eurozone. I understand the several reasons the any company would want to keep some announcements to itself but the change in delaying announcements (except the Class 89 of course) until tooling has exacerbated this uncertainty for the Irish model consumer. It’s hard to support Irish products that are not in the known pipeline.

Items tagged exclusive are only available from us directly and not from retailers. For the 92 Rails of Sheffield have a pair of grey ones exclusively to them and Kernow Model Rail Centre are offering the Eddie Stobart edition.
OK, I just figured that out as there is no logo on the IRM site only the accurascale site

Dive, what 92 are you thinking of getting, saw 92010 on display at the mrsi show recently and have to say they look stunning along with the Caledonian coaches.
Kinda like the 92038 with the mints now that I've noticed them but 92010 looks very clean, so might preorder one but what to do if a few packs become available, maybe I could combine the orders at a later date to minimize shipping costs?
Incidentally a Class 89 is on my list now too, I remember her at Newcastle in the white letters in another lifetime

Hi Divecontroller, I'm sure this is not much help, but 92010 is an accruscale exclusive and has no polo mint logos which 92038 has, other than that I'm at a loss as to which one to Get as I don't do much British outline, but man they look something else, also missed the Caledonian coaches as well, cough, cough lads.
An Accurascale exclusive in what sense? Not for sale by other retailers? @BosKonay
I notice some small red and white paintwork detail on the bogies of 92038. Is this on some of the class , or a more recent livery variation on some?
And ok, I guess most know what a polo mint logo is but I'm as stumped as the first time someone told me my CIE loco had a broken wheel on it ....... lol
EDIT: OK, I see it blurred out on the only photo of 92038. Can someone elaborate on "polo mints" Channel Tunnel logos which are such a feature of the real locomotives please?

Would anyone briefly outline what the difference would be between 92010 and 92038? Also tried to chat to IRM but no response that I'm aware of. Any info appreciated. TIA

CIE Liveried Coaches
Oh, coach numbers and possible duplication. I believe, unless I misunderstood the conversation, I held with Hattons, the four pack numbers are not duplicated by any of the other coaches.
Re footboards and numbering on the Genesis coaches (in general if I recall)
Detailing - Optional lower footboards
- Full brake rigging
- Finely detailed panelling
- Painted interiors
- Fully lined liveries to original company specifications
- Unique running numbers between single coaches and packs - carefully selected to fit with companies numbering systems

I don't normally collect any British outline but quite like the appearance of the Class 92 in CS livery. Can someone briefly outline what the difference would be between 92010 and 92038?
Unfortunately the sleeper packs seem to sold out

Aha!
There are two "phases" of Mk.2c coach, those with large GM roof vents and large toilet window (phase 1) and with Roe-Vac roof vents and smaller "air con" style toilet windows with no vent (phase 2). IR had mostly Phase 2 with a single Phase 1 vehicle.
So in this case its the original build phase of the coaches nothing to do with us
The NIR coaches are due relatively soon, and these IE packs are in the next batch
THanks!

Once we have decorated factory samples we’ll finalize numbers.

Hi Kevin,
Sincerest apologies, I took a couple of days off after the show, working 15 days on the bounce can be tiring...
As we are offering sound fitted models we do not plan to sell sound decoders separately at this time. The distribution of sound is to be finalised once we have a working sample.
Cheers!
Fran
Thanks for that, Fran. And are there one or two chips in each ICR set?

Not sure if I can afford the sound fitted models at the moment, and if I did get they may be displayed only as this is not my era.
if I get non sound, will chips be available later if I decide to add sound and for how long?
Are there two sounds decoders in the sound fittted models one on the the A3 and a motorless sound chip in the dummy loco? How easy are these to access and swap out between sets?
Bump…. @BosKonay. @Warbonnet
…. just coupling an ICR set

I was looking to get a full rake of the scones, but the butter was a rather deeper yellow than it should have been.
It ought to be more of a 'straw colour' really.
That’s just oxidization, if you scrape away the top layers from a new butter slab you’ll see the true straw livery beneath

I have actually traveling in one of these but that's where my personal interest in these would end. I might get one because it is an Irish model but would someone tell me what a bowling ball marker or whatsis means pls?

I thought the 121s and A's would result in some baby GM price moderation but if anything the opposite happened as new people presumably came into the hobby and then demand for the rarer pre-owned models just increased. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens again. Long term it's clearly the best thing for (almost) everyone if there are more people involved in the hobby of course.
Build it and they will come .....

I'd say more will become available if the new 141/181 has an inbuilt speaker and better access to the rather cramped previous edition

It’s hard to believe that there’s a market for an O gauge model from NI when relatively few RTR models have been released in OO.
Nice model though I have no track to put it on

Will try again next week. Thanks

Any reason that the keg loads in the Acc. EU site are not visible on the IRM site to buy with some forklifts? Stock In physically different locations?

If the Murphy Models 201[new] was bombed it'd improve its appearance, probably.
Not a fan, I think we got that part. Entitled to your opinion of course, guess you’ll have more money left over for more IRM products or to donate to the Ukraine where that bomb would be more useful right now
