Something as complex as this will have teething problems, I'm sure - but, they do invite comments - http://transportforireland.ie/feedback/journey-planner/ ...
Irish Rail have just tipped me off about this new national journey planner - http://www.journeyplanner.transportforireland.ie/nta/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en - it might come in handy for attending shows, etc. Covers almost all public transport.
IÉ currently have a picture of it up on the info about the Low Rail Adhesion situation that can occur around this time of year - plus an interesting little rail-side device - http://www.irishrail.ie/blog_post.jsp?blogID=1&a=330
I could see that coming. To be honest, the kit is hardly worth that, they need a good bit of fettling to sharpen them up a bit, but are maybe worthwhile for doing a one-off small box. A better approach would be necessary for work on your scale and to your standard. Would a brass etch be the answer for levers..?
Presumably because the yard lights were deemed to be sufficient illumination. I think that I can remember the headlights being knocked off when passing through stations.
This is an interesting project - http://www.networkrail.co.uk/VirtualArchive/

Irish Rail tweet from yesterday - A Truck has hit Custom House Quay Bridge. Services stopped between Connolly & Tara St. Update to follow - It all seemed to get sorted fairly quickly..
The preliminary Board of Inquiry says that it was down to the predictive text in their sat-nav putting in Port Lairge when the navigator thought he was putting in Portland - simple error, any of us could have done it..
Irish Rail on Twitter said -- To the opportunist surfers, boaters, canoeists, divers, fishermen etc tweeting, we will not be hosting watersports in Waterford Stn
No mention of equestrians..
