The idea for the layout supports was originally done 35 years ago by the Model Railway Society of Ireland for their exhibition layouts which provided ease of movement and strength. Warb

Mayner The reason for the traditional block rising walls was the building is beside a river and on that side stepped reinforced foundations were needed with approx. 5FT rising wall required on that side. Ground bearing reinforced floor slab just to be on the safe side. warb

Barrow Street Update Its been a while since my last posting regarding Barrow Street and one of the problems was that the layout was never able to be fully assembled in the existing spot. For the last year minus mishaps (that's another story) I bit the bullet and started to build a new shed to fit Barrow Street. Work is still ongoing and hopefully major works will be completed this year (see attached photos in no particular order) and I can get back trying to complete Barrow Street. Regards Warb

Marks models 201's 24 years ago with lengthened FP45 athearn 208 which was some thing not available before this time.

23/24 years ago Marks Models was producing resin kits to scale i.e. 141's/201's way above what was being produced at the time.
