If you look very closely…you can find A Bandon Tank….look behind that rather strange looking man on the telly I have no doubt he at the very least, had, a Bandon tank that’s somehow been lost to time. Considering they did some nice work in the Dublin area. ironically, a Bandon Tank is probobly one of the more available models to get in 0 gauge. A freind of mine has a superb 3D print, rivets and all for 0 gauge. just needs a terrier chassis and some bogeys. There is also the alpha graphix kit for those more brave and skilled. In one photo of his layout in his home, part of what looks like a Bandon Tank can be seen, partially obscured, so he MIGHT have had one. There is - strangely - no record of him ever having had any J15 - maybe he thought them too “ordinary”. Not the nearest equivalent, the Midland J18. It’s known that he retained a very small few models and gave away a few - were looking at a dozen maximum. His daughter, now 90, retains about 5 or 6 locos, mostly LMS. It is thought that distant family members have 1 or 2 more. 1
murrayec Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago It is believed by some, that light fingered chaps were at work here- way back at the setting up of the Castle Museum! There is also evidence in the collection that some of the Fry 3 rail models were converted to two rail....... Eoin 1
