The Lartigue boys were involved in a history podcast some time ago. Not enough distinction between GS&WR and GSR made, calling the GS&WR "The Great Southern" as shorthand but confusing to a non enthusiast listener if not made clear.

Any mention of the original company, the WLWR?

Did that go as far as Sligo? I remember hearing that somewhere

Waterford - Limerick, Limerick - Tralee (including Foynes & Fenit), Limerick - Killaloe (Birdhill to Ballybrophy was GSWR), and Limerick - Collooney (with running powers to Sligo).
