My brother sent me on this pic, taken in Osberstown Industrial estate in Naas. The home of GPX Rail (https://gpxrail.com/)

Ah, so that's where it's ended up! It was used during the construction of the Luas, then spent some time stored at Red Cow, and was most recently spotted in an industrial estate in Portlaoise, not far from the ICR depot.

Is the LUAS 1435mm gauge?

Yes, mainly as the trams were available off the shelf as standard gauge items

I remember seeing it on the Green line when it was under construction now you mention it & posted the pic in its previous livery

Anyone else think that GPX Rail sounds like an American railroad company?

Would I be correct thinking that this is one of the few stretches of standard gauge rail in Ireland? (excluding the Luas)

its only a matter of years before the Luis lines need relaying. lets hope this little locomotive is involved.
