Might see the 2005 x Belfast Enterprise. Passengers are advised that due to fallen power cables blocking the line in Clontarf, train services will terminate in Drogheda and passengers will be transported to Dublin by bus. The same will apply for passengers travelling on the 0735 ex Dublin who will travel from Dublin to Drogheda and will then get the train to Belfast. The repair team is on site. 226 Abhann na Suire Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Irish Rail have confirmed that the Enterprise will be operating from Grand Central from August 25th and an hourly timetable with pre-09:00 arrivals into both cities to come on October 7th Very exciting news and a long overdue but big step in the right direction for cross border rail! Just a shame that while the Belfast bound trains are clock face departures at the xx:50 every hour, the Dublin trains out of Belfast are not… would’ve been a nice touch I wonder why they weren’t able to do that…? Quote
jhb171achill Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Looks like four train sets needed for that. Three DDs plus an ICR, presumably. Tempting, therefore, to assume that the railcar will do the 05:50 ex Dublin, and corresponding trips throughout the day, e.g. the 09:00 to Dublin, 11:50 north, and so on........ Quote
