Warbonnet Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 The one I've been waiting for... it looks the bees knees! Absolutely stunning, the ACe looks so sinister and the white safety stripe along the bottom of the walkway sets it off nicely. IT - Warning - Might need sunglasses for this one http://www.railpictures.net/photo/401776 Quote
Warbonnet Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 And last, but by no means least, the Lackawanna ACe http://www.railpictures.net/images/d1/3/5/0/3350.1340809052.jpg Quote

RedRich Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Yet another cool one... tasty! I was thinking Pat that with the maroon band and the gold stripes in the position that they are on the side of the loco it would look good in IE orange and black. Rich, Quote
Warbonnet Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 I do like the Lackawanna unit, but Lackawanna EMD units don't look right without the 'beer belly' larger fuel tanks http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1168537 Quote

My daughter took the camera today as it was her last day in primary school and the memory stick is full. I will take some pics after she gets her prints over the weekend. Rich, Quote

Rich, It wouldn't be far off the old Great Northern Railroad colour scheme then, would it? http://www.gnrhs.org/CON4.JPG I do like the Lackawanna unit, but Lackawanna EMD units don't look right without the 'beer belly' larger fuel tanks http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1168537 Nothing wrong with the loco in that pic at all, Fran! Warbonnet Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Famed youtuber NSModeller24 (check out his channel, superb layout and detailing going on!) heavily modified some Tower 55 ES44DCs to represent the latest Gevo's in heritage paints and posed them with the real thing. Check out the pics here and how he modified the locos here Also, nice video of the Reading ACe at the big bash Quote
Warbonnet Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 Intermountain will announce production of all the GE heritage scheme locomotives next month. Quote

Warbonnet Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 Well after much resisiting I succumbed to picking one of these locos up. Sound, shipped to Ireland and taxes paid it worked out slightly less than a 201. It was too good a deal to turn down and a chance to see how MTH stacks up. Looking forward to giving her a run and see how she sounds Quote
