derek Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Is there any point to this feature of the forum any more?. Just had a look and there are 1103 people online, the VAST majority being "guests". I like to check this every now and then to see who is on, but I was not scrolling through 37 or so pages. Its now 1378!
Broithe Posted January 20 Posted January 20 My other forum used to be in the same position, showing the five or ten real users online, plus a few hundred guests, mostly harvesting robots. For some reason unknown to me, this stopped a couple of months ago and it now just shows real users plus some automated spam accounts that have never fully completed the 'entry process' and so can't post. 1

When I'm on the main landing page, the 'Who online' box at the bottom right of the screen shows online members. I access the forum using a laptop though, may be different on a phone with the reduced screen size etc. 1

Looking at the list there again, it seems to be just* lies* of repetition.  Edit -Lines, not lies Edited January 20 by derek 1
Colonel Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Before Christmas, my local football club's forum (non league), suddenly started getting posts from Temu. Started slowly, but within a week, every section was completely swamped with new posts appearing 10-20 times an hour, from multiple users seemingly all round the world. Â The moderators had been lax in getting new applicants and once in, they just took over and for about ten days the Forum was unusable until these posters were cleared out. Seems that Temu are happy to pay people to do this and if so, sounds like a good reason not to buy their stuff. 4
Mac-70 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 You got me interested in what online users section was (being new here) thought it was something exciting but no, i'll not be back in that section again.

DJ Dangerous Posted January 22 Posted January 22 One thing you’ll definitely not see on the list is a certain Mr. @BosKonay! 1
