richrua Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Hello all. I finally made a little bit of scenery in the corner. I have no irish stock yet so my 30 year old br stuff is enjoying a run around. ! Quote
Aussie Phil Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Looks great can't wait to see more. You are in front of me by a fare way. I haven't even laid track. Can't wait to see more progress. Best of luck and keep the photos coming. Quote
richrua Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 The trains finally get some exercise after being in a box for about 25 years. These were my first trains. Santa got me the little 0-4-0 when I was a[video=youtube_share;_T80QP5XWdc]http://youtu.be/_T80QP5XWdc bout 7. Quote

craven1508 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 This will be tasty as it develop,s, At least after 25 years you have a huge variety of irish rolling stock now to choose from!! Quote
richrua Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 Thanks everyone. My younger son is also enjoying this new (for him) hobby. I know, there is an amazing range of Irish railway stock now. It is actually what is spurring me on I think! I do still have plenty of old Hornby buildings, platforms and some nice BR locos from my young fella days, but I dont want to get rid of them so I am just going to blend them in! I got three BR mark 2 coaches from ebay for a song with the intention of spraying orange and black, but I am not sure if they are the right type of mark 2 ... didn't realise there were 2a 2b 2c 2d ... oh well Quote
richrua Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 just trying to figure out how to get the photos from my phone the right way up ! Quote
Dave Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Hi Richrua, import the pictures to your pc then edit them and post them up from your pc. Quote
BosKonay Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Apples can be 'wierd' about orientation, I find if you put the phone sideways / landscape mode, then the pics come out the right way up Quote

irishthump Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Wow! Really flying along now! And remember run what you want, it's YOUR railway! Quote
richrua Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 thanks lads. Apart from the Irish locos the stock is all years old. As are the buildings - cant reallly justify replacing them at the mo . Oh ... and that big tornado loco and pullmans were going cheap in argos and i just couldnt resist. . . I am gradually replacing the steel track. The new track is such an improvement - seems to conduct so well. I am nearly settled on the track layout now. . . trial and error. Quote
