I've been posting my photographs via Photobucket but I'm getting near the end of my free space. Any suggestion for other free sites I can use to upload my photographs?

Tinypic.com is handy...

You should be able to embed a Dropbox link. Just don't go moving the original file around on your hard drive, though...

Thanks Guys for the suggestions. I tried Dropbox but can't get my images to show, is there something else you do other than copying the link?

Test

I can't see that on the Forum, but I can pick up the link and then view it in another window - that's what happens on my other Forum.

That's there for me! - I would be very interested to know what you've done, in a form that will be understood by the highly-paid typists that have failed to get past this problem where I spend the other half of my waking hours. Ta.

Moved the image to public folder in my Dropbox.

Asked Dropbox for the link to the image. It gave me a direct URL to the jpg

Over here clicked add image.

Choose from URL.

Paste in the Dropbox link

I've moved my image to the Public folder

Clicked share

Get link

Link copied to clipboard

still does not show when I paste it.

You say,

"Add Image" I can't find that, the only one I see is "Insert Image" but that does not work as well? -HELP!

Cheers, makes sense really that only the public one is hot linkable.

We've tried a few pictures now - and it seems to work for us too - inter-Forum solidarity!!!

Thanks again.

@Kirley - for me I pick "copy public link" and get a URL at dl.dropboxusercontent.com

Then click the Insert Image icon, then paste in the URL (you can optionally click the 'retrieve local copy' check box, and the forum will copy it down from dropbox to link locally

Thanks Stephen, without your help I would never would have got there. It's a bit more cumbersome than Photobucket but as long as it works...
