roxyguy Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Hi All, Getting around to making back scenes for the layout. These are planned on an 8x4 sheet of 3mm rigid foam board. The advantage here is that there is no mounting a print to a backing board. The back scene can be installed easily and will be hard wearing. €100 covers the cost of getting this professionally manufactured from a local printer, they will come trimmed and all. I have 4 back scenes on this sheet, 2 at 23cm X 7ft and 2 at 23cm x 6ft. They will work out a €25 each which is good value in my opinion.
BosKonay Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 That's a cracking great idea, price and gorgeous looking backscenes too! Keep us posted!
popeye Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 beautiful scenes. Can you say what are their locations?
Noel Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 They look fantastic. I had been wondering about using that sort of rigid foam board to paste my rolls of back scene onto (e.g. the sort of board used at exhibitions or for election posters).
