Brian Collins Enterprises Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Good Evening, some on this forum maybe aware that in 2014, I commenced the necessary work to bring Dublin Bus Cityswift model to the market, which has being delayed due to circumstances beyond my control. I had some good news over the last few days that work has commenced on the pre-production samples. More information will follow in due course. Thank you, Brian Collins
John-r Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Looks promising Brian ,if anything like your Scalia irizar sample I had in my paws last week, Sure to be another winner. Cheers john
Horsetan Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Those look like incredibly clean mouldings. I wonder if the model could be made to run using Faller-Car parts or similar?
Warbonnet Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I think I'll find it hard to resist these. Always loved cityswift and it was the best livery the AVs ever carried. What fleet no and route will they be liveried for?
Brian Collins Enterprises Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the comments John-r, craven1508, Horsetan & Warbonnet Good to have spoken to you at the Collectables Toy Fair last Sunday John. This is a fully assembled Die-cast model, with only 300 pieces being manufactured. Route chosen & vehicle is as per the attached photograph. Custom packaging Thank you Edited December 4, 2015 by Brian Collins Enterprises
Brian Collins Enterprises Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) AV1 when delivered to Dublin Bus, started it life in Broadstone Garage for Euro Duties & ended its time with Dublin Bus in Ringsend Garage. Route 39 was the first route converted to Cityswift in 1993. A blast from the past Edited December 4, 2015 by Brian Collins Enterprises
Horsetan Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Where can non-Irish residents buy these from?
Brian Collins Enterprises Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Where can non-Irish residents buy these from? Hello Horsetan. jhb171achill Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Could I ask, as someone who is not hugely knowledgeable about buses, is it possible to buy a model of the exact type of bus used on the No. 10 route in the 1960-1980 period?
Warbonnet Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Could I ask, as someone who is not hugely knowledgeable about buses, is it possible to buy a model of the exact type of bus used on the No. 10 route in the 1960-1980 period? You'd be looking at a kit from the Jim Poots stable JB.
Old Blarney Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) John, There is an extensive list of "Irish Buses! on the this link:- http://www.efezone.co.uk/ Use the Menu on the - Left of Screen - and select "Fleet Focus". Then "Click" the Map of Ireland. An extensive list of Model Irish Bus is there for your perusal. Some may suit your needs, certainly there is a Route 10, CIE's version of Birmingham Blue and Cream, (CIE Section.) Just scroll down the page and you will find this section. The 1947/8 "Boltons" and 1949 Cape Towns are both listed there. David. Edited December 7, 2015 by Old Blarney
