Good Evening, some on this forum maybe aware that in 2014, I commenced the necessary work to bring Dublin Bus Cityswift model to the market, which has being delayed due to circumstances beyond my control. I had some good news over the last few days that work has commenced on the pre-production samples. More information will follow in due course. Thank you, Brian Collins

Those look like incredibly clean mouldings. I wonder if the model could be made to run using Faller-Car parts or similar?

I think I'll find it hard to resist these. Always loved cityswift and it was the best livery the AVs ever carried.

 

What fleet no and route will they be liveried for?

Good to have spoken to you at the Collectables Toy Fair last Sunday John.

 

This is a fully assembled Die-cast model, with only 300 pieces being manufactured.

 

Route chosen & vehicle is as per the attached photograph.

AV1 when delivered to Dublin Bus, started it life in Broadstone Garage for Euro Duties & ended its time with Dublin Bus in Ringsend Garage. Route 39 was the first route converted to Cityswift in 1993.

Use the Menu on the - Left of Screen - and select "Fleet Focus". Then "Click" the Map of Ireland. An extensive list of Model Irish Bus is there for your perusal. Some may suit your needs, certainly there is a Route 10, CIE's version of Birmingham Blue and Cream, (CIE Section.) Just scroll down the page and you will find this section. The 1947/8 "Boltons" and 1949 Cape Towns are both listed there.
