Mike 84C
Did each bogie have a brake cylinder or were both bogies braked from one cylinder? difficult to tell from the photos I have. Thanks for any advice. mike
0 jhb171achill
I'm not sure myself. At least one RPSI carriage maintenance person posts here and might know, as the society has one Bredin. 0 Mayner
The drawing for the BSSGV shows two brake cylinders, the Bredins are likely to have had the same arrangement. Edited February 10, 2016 by Mayner
0 BSGSV
I'm not aware of any bogie vehicle that didn't have brake cylinders for each bogie.

0 Mike 84C
Thanks for for all the help and comment guys and Mayner the drawing explains all thank you. Its easy to make assumptions about fittings etc; which I often do and am proved wrong! I asked because for a number of years I worked under 1'11 3/4" gauge carriages, all only had one cylnder and some very ingenious pullrods to make it all work! I know, 20 mph narrow gauge but its worth knowing.
0 Lough Erne
For interest, the majority of vehicles had one cylinder per bogie, however it is not unknown for some vehicles to have 2 per bogie, just to make the life of the person overhauling the cylinders that bit more awkward.
