GM203 River Corrib

Picked up GM 203 today at Stillorgan, a fine looking loco and a welcome addition to my small fleet of locos. Thanks again to big Dave.

I bought 203 myself last year.

Although the loco looks much better

when you paint the exhaust silver.

There are not quite as many shots of the roof detail on the prototype, but mostly they show the exhaust in a rust color combined with a fair bit of blackening on the silver even when the loco itself was fairly clean

Overall black as per the roof doesn't capture the prototype though. It's a combination of silver, rust and diesel exhaust black. They do start out in life silver as far as I can remember. I have seen them painted silver as per Eamonn's suggestion and it really pops them out.
