uploading pics

lads, when uploading pics , i get a message saying the file is too large. how do i make the file smaller? this only occured when i use a new camera i got. thanks as always, seamus

I get that as well sometimes I just revert back to photobucket

I think the admin can modify the biggest photo size, so if you can tell him the dimensions of the photo, then he might be able to increase the maximum size?

Let me know what you are trying to upload based on these variables and I can double check, or tweak the options.

As Anthony said revert to photo bucket as I had this problem

with my photos file being to large.

At the moment the file size limit is 2mb

dont know the pic size . i just point the camera and shoot , then download straight to the computer! modern technology has me buggered at times! i may do the simplest and revert to the bucket!!

You could always reduce the size and/or quality of the shots in the camera settings before taking the pics you want to upload - this will result in a smaller filesize. Experiment with all the various size/quality settings & you should be able to get a pic under the 2Mb limit

2MB is fairly large, especially if there are a dozen or more photos in a page - you should be able to save-as the image and drop the quality or size of the image?

When using the Forum albums function, is there any way to rotate the photos once they've been uploaded?

Hmm, I don't think so no, you'll need to do it before upload (image manipulation would be pretty taxing for the server)
