Patrick Davey Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Here are two GNR-style buildings I have recently completed, with just a few small details remaining to be added to both. Hoping to do a thread soon detailing their construction. 4 1 2
iarnrod Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Very nice bit of craftsmanship displayed there. 1
popeye Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Lovely work patrick. I would like to see how these were built. 1
Patrick Davey Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Thanks all, I took pics of almost every stage of both builds so I'll get a thread organised shortly. I appreciate the kind comments!
GNRi1959 Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Patrick, so well done. Its always nice to see windows done with some feeling of depth in the timbers and glazing. I take my hat off to your patience and skill. 1
David Holman Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 These are very nice indeed. Am guessing they are to 4mm scale, but the detail and especially the windows make them seem more like 7mm. Love the deep eaves on the signal cabin. Anybody would think it rained a bit thereabouts! 1
Patrick Davey Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Thanks for the kind comments, yes David 4mm. Here are a few more views of the cabin. The secret weapon - patience 😂 1 2
