  1. Thank you. As I've said many times the buildings and now the bridge has been the must enjoyable part of it all and it has to be said a challenge given I'm working off video
  2. Thanks Rob, it's great to finally run some trains again
  3. High praise indeed. Just need to build up the courage to program it
  4. Cause sometimes you just want to run trains. 20230904_105644.mp4 20230904_105935.mp4
  5. The curtains were actually in place right up until the yard closed.
  6. The scene continues to slowly develop. Here no.156 carries out some shunting of a loaded container flat. More weathering and scenery work will follow but for now this is the only part of the layout to get any due to working around the bridge supports themselves. Your thoughts and comments as always are appreciated. Chris
  7. Thank you very much. A lot of screen shoots were taken which has allowed me to pick out a lot of those details
  8. A few details remain but for the most paint I'm delighted with how it all turned out. Your thoughts as always are appreciated.
  9. Exactly as DJ pointed out it is how it was in the reference video I'm using. The left side would appear to have been for a long since removed line.
  10. Phase one of the bridge is complete and ready for painting. I've been using the fert for clearance testing as it is the tallest wagon but also tried it with container loaded flats. Phase two will see the decline of the road down off the bridge to ground level. Your thoughts as always are appreciated.
  11. It did take a while but worth it in the result
  12. Actually didn't think of that. No I scored down the back of it every couple of CM and just gently started bending it around.
  13. I'm grateful there is only one. It was a torture to curve.
  14. The bridge that forms part of the scenic break for the layout is taking shape. Very happy with the progress so far on this stretch build.
  15. Thank you very much. I paid the most attention to this. I did have issues with the two sidings on the far side of the goods shed which took the longs to get right
  16. The NCE powercab works very well with the MM chip
  17. Thank you very much. While getting to finally run a train is great the process of wiring everything up and testing brought its own enjoyment element
  18. While I'm sure unrealistic I had to see how they looked in the scene. 20230817_151600.mp4
  19. Great shot coming over the stream
  20. While 210 never ran here in real life, at least to my knowledge 210 became the first train to run here on Barrack Street. While unfortunately not running a sound chip that dos not take away from this milestone or the sense of achievement. Over the next week 210 will be tasked with testing the operation and track of the yard before the track itself is finally secured in place. 20230816_204714.mp4 20230816_205140.mp4
  21. Three things which do not apply to me, old, rich and retired
  22. Not to high jack the topic but is there any word on the 201s since the 141/181 and mk2s are listed
  23. The first phase of wiring is complete. All track feeds bar the power for the points has been wired in with droppers awaiting the installation of the point motors and finally some tiding up of the wires.
  24. Can insulated peco points and tortoise work together? If so how are they wired? Do you still insulate the inner rails on the exit of the point? Bought the insofog points in error but don't want to go buying more points if I don't have too.
  25. That's brilliant. Never knew about this. I can see I have one or two track alterations to do. Thank you, this will be invaluable
