Duly and deservedly liked on YT!

Absolutely class, @Rob! The roof weathering on the Mk2D is particularly nice, like it spent too much time right behind the locos. Love the Mk3 photos. The first two in particular look like photos from a rolling stock book by Doyle and Hirsch. Top notch stuff.
-
Missed your last few posts, @ttc0169! They got buried under the sea of slurry. Lovely stuff, off to watch the YT video on the PlayStation now.

That’s amazing! Lovely build, and a great price for a DCC ready trainset and layout! It would be particularly good for somebody who hasn’t much time or space. Thinking of some of our younger members, who are kept too busy with school or college. Uff, I sound so old! When I was your age…..

Accupido? Accurapido? Rapidoscale? RapIRMascale? IRMascido? Yeah, I have one or two and they’re grand, too. Just be handy knowledge for “one day” either way. Nearly sure that somebody here, possibly @Georgeconna, said that converting them to DCC was so unpleasant that he wouldn’t do another. Apologies if that wasn’t you, George! The old CAD trolling was great for drumming up interest and building excitement and anticipation. Also gave a chance for feedback before it was too late, on things like the British buffer spacing on the IRM Bulleid range. Might be a surprise in tooling for us, who knows? If @BosKonay doesn’t unequivocally deny that, it’s certainly a possibility, as nobody likes trolling us more than him.

Lovely, @Colin_McLeod! What RAL shades did you use for the NIR "Morocco" maroon and "Caribbean" blue? P.S.: Thanks to @Robert Shrives for the names of the colours!

Wondering if one could do a Frankenstein between the Bachmann N and Rapido K? The Bachmann N is on the RMW Mazak Rot / Zinc Pest list…

That pretty much summarises what I had read online. I had been hoping to prove myself wrong. Thanks for ruining my day!

Lovely O Gauge HAA MGR wagons on offer, but I can’t find video evidence of the open wagons running mixed with wagons with top skips / canopies. Five variants on offer: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/mgr-haa-coal-wagon-brown-cradle-354317 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7f-048-010-mgr-haa-coal-wagon-brown-cradle-356264 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7f-048-011-mgr-haa-coal-wagon-red-cradle-356189 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7f-048-012-mgr-haa-coal-wagon-red-cradle-366040 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7f-048-100-mgr-haa-coal-wagon-red-cradle-with-top-skip-351131 I get the impression that some collieries couldn’t handle hoppers with top skips / canopies, so maybe they were not mixed.

Sad to see. @gm171 kk posted a video of 6105, 6402 and 7146 on their way to Limerick back in the day:
-
Not surprised, given the likely price range for future Irish coaches. Somebody nabbed themselves a bargain, there.
-
Wow, nice prices, specially on those buses. Somebody will snap them up for sure.

They have a couple of steam locos on offer, too, although not all as cheap as last time: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7s-018-002-lswr-b4-0-4-0t-caen-brown-90 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7s-005-004-0f-sentinel-4wvb-no7160-in-lms-livery https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7s-018-006-lswr-b4-0-4-0t-lined-green-91 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-7s-010-021-terrier-a1-lbsc-improved-green-wapping-0-6-0-tank-locomotive-no-71 I like that brown 0-4-0, would look fabulous running in a garden… If I had a garden!

O Gauge locos at bonkers prices from Rails of Sheffield. Anybody who’s ever thought about dabbling the toe in O Gauge, be it a garden railway, a short end to end shelf layout, a loop of Set-Track on the floor, or even a static model for “one day” would do well to have a look. BR blue era Class 09 shunter for £167 ex-VAT: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/gaugemaster-collection-gm7210203-class-09-016-br-blue-weathered-diesel-shunter-locomotive BR intercity era Class 09 shunter for £159 ex-VAT: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/gaugemaster-collection-gm7210204-class-09-012-dick-hardy-engineers-grey-diesel-shunter-locomotive There’s a ton of other stuff, too: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/obsolete-warehouse-finds?filter.p.m.custom.availability=In+Stock&filter.v.price.gte=0&filter.v.price.lte=595&filter.p.m.custom.Scale=O+Gauge&sort_by=best-selling Most of it will be snapped up, fast, so get the creaky wallets out!

IRM Latest! H Van Heaven - Unfitted H Vans Next For Accurascale IRM!
DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
The whole range was €90 including Irish VAT per triple pack, and the unfitted are €125 including Irish VAT per triple pack. Forget about loyalty points and bundle discounts. They’re the base prices. That’s why I couldn’t justify them this time. The extra €10 odd per wagon adds up. Big thanks to @Sea Breezer for the reference screenshots in that last post. -
IRM Latest! H Van Heaven - Unfitted H Vans Next For Accurascale IRM!

What's the actual Euro pricing of the triple packs, including Irish VAT? The A/S site (not logged in to my account) says £109,96 GBP including VAT, which is around €125 - €130 EURO. This changes to €101,59 EURO INCLUDING VAT ("impuestos incluidos" for me) upon clicking the curency change icon hidden right down the bottom of the page, while still not logged in. Somebody up in Ireland has confirmed to me that they're seeing the same price, €101,59 EUR, while logged in, so it's not a Spain / Canary Islands issue. Mark's Models don't yet have them listed. Rails of Sheffield say £109,96 including VAT (not logged in to my account), which again is about €125-€130EURO. The original announcement says £109,95 GBP: Is the A/S website glitching out for EURO, showing the ex-VAT price as the VAT price? Or is the advertised price of £109,95 an error, and €101,59 EURO is the correct VAT price? Screenshots attached for reference. -
I mean, I wouldn’t badger into buying another unless you have your heart sett on it… Handling fees up in Ireland are a lot cheaper than down here, but their taxes are a lot higher, so it probably works out just as expensive up there.

They usually put the remainder on sale after dispatching pre-orders, plus Mark’s Models and Rails of Sheffield will probably stock them. -

Wow, that is expensive! £165 GBP plus £21 GBP postage, so €215 Euro in real money, plus import tax, plus duty, plus €30 to €70 in handlng fees… And five days still to go! Nah, you’re alright!
