  1. Seven previously sold-out Class 37's back in stock, single figures, get them while they're hot: https://www.accurascale.com/en-eu/collections/class-37/availability_in-stock
  2. I had always wondered how they managed to offer the trunk service to everybody. It seemed like something that would only work with a certain volume per trunk, and for a fixed period. If somebody were to leave one single item sitting in storage for a long period, you'd lose a lot of space and reduce efficiency. In essence, they'd have been better off not making that tiny sale rather than taking up space, time and resources storing it. Shame that we'll never get that service again, but it is what it is.
  3. I think that people who live in odd places can and must accept the increased postage costs, they're just a fact of life. We can see from the An Post website what the likely postage price is for anybody without an An Post contract. The point in offering a limited trunk service for those specific clients is maximising the utility of the increased postage costs. In a former life, I spent a lot of time in warehouses that warehouse managers had told me were full. There was almost always unused capacity to be taken advantage of by moving racks around, adjusting the height of the bars at the top to fit half-pallets in, even sliding racking a metre or two to one side or another often freed up additional space in an otherwise unused gable end. If there is unused capacity like this at IRM's fulfillment centre, then maybe it could be used to facilitate a limited trunk service for those living outside of the EU and the UK, meaning that nothing else would suffer. The packers will know the exact unit weights and volumes, and can apply that knowledge to ship the trunk items in the most efficient way possible. Or, if somebody were to input the weights and dimensions of each IRM product into a database, I'm sure there would be an AI algorithm or piece of software that could quickly calculate the optimum packing order based on the available tarrifs.
  4. A general trunk system would place too much strain on IRM's fulfillment centre, if I recall correctly. However, I can't see a trunk service solely for non-EU and non-UK customers being that much of an issue. Depending on the height, it probably wouldn't even take a full rack in the warehouse.
  5. If you compare the wages, that EU and UK model railway allowance is more like €1000 per month, not per year! I hope you also have wind. Both the internal and external kind. X.
  6. From the bottom of my heart, I hate you all and hope that it rains all summer. Lots of love from outside the EU. X.
  7. I think you've just solved a major mystery. The big jump in price over the 121's was because these are DCC sound fitted, but the factory made a boo boo and installed Class 37 "Tractor" chips by mistake.
  8. Happy days today! Despite website glitches and postal service incompetence, it's nice to get the odd parcel from Blighty. This one speaks for itself. Packaging was superb, the cardboard protectors on the ends of the loco box being a great idea. Numbered certificate signed by Team Accurascale, bag with loads of bits, pre-running warning cards prominently displayed, you couldn't ask for more. The loco itself looks exquisite, and reminds me that I desperately need to get the test loop back in working order again. Another great looking loco from Accurascale!
  9. And that answers two fourths of my question in the other Bulleid thread!
  10. Sorry if it's already been covered, but will any of the different Bulleid models be arriving together? It would be very handy to be able to combine orders. Even if they'll arrive staggered, could one request a delay in shipping one variant in order to combine shipping with another?
  11. That little sideline will be coming to an end soon. IRM are trying to put @Rob out of business by pre-installing their "No Smoking" signs. He probably smashed up all of his coaches in a big tantrum after seeing that, hence he's been missing for three months now. His next video will be light locos with no rolling stock.
  12. Just had a look on YouTube. Appears the FiveM guys have actually incorporated the skinned trains into their servers! Now, to find a GTA modder and get us an 071!
  13. For anybody else looking for modern image O Gauge stuff, InverTrain seems to hit the nail on the head: https://invertrain.com/ Sorted for my Y33 Sambre et Meuse bogies: https://invertrain.com/product/y33-intermodal-freight-bogies/#tab-description And for my Lowmac disc wheels and bearings: https://invertrain.com/product/lowmac-disc-wheels/#tab-description To sit underneath these: https://www.shapeways.com/product/9THGQPYQF/cie-lx-container-wagon-for-o-gauge Thanks again, @Galteemore, for pointing GJH Plant Company out. Sadly, it looks like InverTrain won't be around for much longer, as the website says: Following a lot of soul-searching, I have decided that it is time to retire. I have been involved with Invertrain since 1995, firstly as a partner with Dave Thomson, then latterly taking over sole ownership and running it full time since 2006. It has been a lot of fun and I have made a lot of friends and had great support from a great many customers from all over the world, not to mention the Gauge O Guild and many fellow Traders. I will not be disappearing just yet, but I intend to be gone by March 2025. If anyone is interested in taking on the business, or parts of it, please get in touch. Meanwhile it is business as usual. Latest News, some ranges have already found new homes and have been taken off of the website, so if you can’t find what you are looking for, please e-mail me and I will let you know where they can now be obtained. Tel: +44-1383-880-844 enquiries@invertrain.com
  14. Has anybody in the GTA modding community re-skinned the train in GTAV? It already has a classic GM look to it, but it'd be nice to see a more Irish version - with a few Bell containers!
  15. Rails have Dapol OO Gauge Class 73's going very cheap, around £90 GBP, seven variants: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/dapol-oo-class-73s-reduced Anybody here have one?
  16. Lovely photos! Off topic, but how easy is UAV flying in Ireland? Very restrictive down here, millions of no-fly zones. Thank you both for sharing. What's the plan for the two (?) locos and the wagons? Another plant, cutters torch, or what?
  17. I'm not based up in Ireland, but Rails have been great for me, automatically deducting UK VAT so I can pay tax here instead. I have seen others on the forum say the same for Ireland, that Rails will automatically deduct UK VAT and you can pay irish VAT on delivery.
  18. Rails of Sheffield have them both unweathered and weathered: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-4f-028-162-45ft-high-cube-container-eucon-4580068-45692327 https://railsofsheffield.com/products/dapol-4f-028-163-45ft-high-cube-container-eucon-weathered
  19. Those HOBS are up near €250 now! Thank Heavens that @BosKonay sold his, that gives me hope for an IRM set! https://www.ebay.es/itm/126449764252
  20. Made it with entire seconds to spare! Thank you, Frizinghall!
  21. Don't think I'm gonna get to the post office before they close... Half eight is approaching too quickly!
  22. Lovely stuff, @ttc0169! Still can't believe it's N Gauge.
