Have just logged into YT to subscribe, @James. Much prefer the second layout video, without the mattress shop music.

That’s an amazing amount of space for running trains!!! And for filming whatever amateur projects you like! The FREMO modules are about €40-ish each, I think. @Jack_Dunboyne had negotiated a 10% discount for forum members at one stage, but I’m not sure if that still stands. How many modules will you need? About 25?

Running a single loop of track on temporary boards made from free offcuts while building up the FREMO boards over time would stave off the frustration to some extent. He’s going to be putting a grand or two into the “proper” boards, I’d say, plus the same again on the track. That kind of money may be difficult to get together at that age. Hopefully today we’ll see some daylight pictures of the space.

Some funny business going on there. Those lads are up to no good.
-
That’s a whopping area to run trains in! Glad it’s not @Dave Lindfield, that could get messy.
-
That sounds excellent! What size is the room? How much do the FREMO boards cost?
-
It’s a garden hedge. He knows how much you love your nocturnal hedges. Is it a layout room?

@Railer posted a list HERE.

It's a lovely livery alright!

Is that where those yobbos were swapping out reg' plates on the two Qashquai's?
-
Super space there. I see a Galway set hiding at the back. Echoes of Knockseo Junction in places.

And what’s it passing over?

DJ Dangerous replied to Warbonnet's topic in News
Hi Guys. Are these likely to be back in stock any time soon? I did buy some, but not enough! Thanks! Sorry, I should have included the product links and reference screenshots: https://www.accurascale.ie/products/y33-sambre-et-meuse-bogie-pack-black?shpxid=4de40949-f6e6-4b93-98d3-de1761ead846 https://www.accurascale.ie/products/y33-y33-sambre-et-meuse-bogie-pack?shpxid=abdca1f1-b414-4f32-bd1c-8271484ec87d https://www.accurascale.ie/products/y33-sambre-et-meuse-bogie-pack-red-oxide?shpxid=b31c6d3f-b960-400b-ae4d-5218a57e73a4 -
By the way, how are you getting on with the Swedish models?
-
Yup, four character minimum so years are OK, but scales would seem very relevant for this particular forum. I use a workaround by typing the following line into DuckDuckGo: site:irishrailwaymodeller.com “071” …when searching for an 071, or something with less than four characters. However, that’s a bit hit and miss. For example, replace the “071” with “1:24” and it brings up posts made at twenty four minutes past one.
-
On how the search function works, I get zero results when searching for a particular scale. For example, both “1/18” and “1:18” show zero results, yet both comply with the four charcter minimum. I feel like being able to search for a scale would be very beneficial. Also, given how common phrases like “071” and “141” are in our hobby, might it be possible to allow a three-character minimum instead of four?

O Gauge 1958 Land Rover only €20: https://cochesdemetal.es/es/1958-land-rover-series-ii-rhd-canvas-verdebeige-143-oxford-43lr2s008 Quite a ubiquitous vehicle for any layout from 1960 to 2000 and beyond. -
One of their A4’s would have made a lovely display piece, but not at £750 GBP!

More for our UK members, Rails of Sheffield have a Murphy Models 121 Class, no. 134 in IE livery, for £140 GBP: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/murphy-models-mm0134-po-pre-owned-mm0134-class-121-134-in-iarnrod-eireann-livery-diesel-locomotive It says UK Tax excluded, but I’m confused by that, as their pre-owned doesn’t usually have UK tax removed for overseas buyers.

Didn’t Heljan produce the O Gauge Hatton’s A4 locos? They had terrible feedback in general. Underpowered with only one motor, motors burning out, loose bits in the box, valve gear back to front, quartering problems etc. Have no experience myself, just comments that I have seen online several times. Think they were £750 GBP when new, but Hatton’s sold them off around half price in the end. Rails of Sheffield had six of them second-hand, varying from £450 GBP to £500 GBP, about two weeks ago, and four have already sold.

Brilliant photos, @ttc0169. Lakeview at it’s finest. The first shot in particular takes me right back. I can almost feel the drizzle as I trudge to school on a dark, dank winter morning, the sooty smell from the previous night’s chimney stacks still lingering in the air, wondering if it will be dark again by the time I escape at four.
