  1. Anybody pop into the MRSI Dundalk show over the weekend? @WRENNEIRE has three or four sets of the original A/S / IRM NIR coaches advertised for sale at reasonable prices, on Adverts.ie. Worth dropping him a PM if interested.
  2. Fabulous, thanks! Will have a look when on the computer.
  3. What sort of train composition was there? I’ve seen coaches, vans, locos, and even a single APT coach, but never understood what would have been coupled to what, nor why.
  4. If these are anything like the last batch of RTC coaches, they’ll be something special. Were there only two of these in RTC livery? Is the €90-ish per coach reflective of the general trend for future pricing?
  5. There’s no rush, I’m happy to get Christmas done and dusted, first.
  6. Rails of Sheffield have some OO Gauge Coach Bundles at decent prices. Mk3 East Coast: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/set-of-7-mk3-est-coast-coaches Mk3 Great Western: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/set-of-6-first-great-western-coaches Mk2 DRS: https://railsofsheffield.com/products/set-of-4-mk2f-standard-open-direct-rail-services-coaches Great way to build a train or two.
  7. Apple devices tend to save images as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) files by default. HEIC files are not widely used nor accessible on non-Apple devices. You can change this in your ‘phone settings, and use the more common JPEG standard. There’s nothing that those viewing can do, as the forum software will recognise it as a file upload rather than an image upload. The last few shots are fabulous!!!
  8. Must be a loooot of work going on!
  9. Outstanding!
  10. That large logo BR blue!
  11. Great value, and even moreso for our younger members who may have slightly less financial independence. Excellent way to build a nice freight train.
  12. Much as I liked the colours used, I didn’t feel the livery application or paintwork were that great. The set didn’t sell in the end.
  13. The seller of the 2900 / 29000, Treaty_City_Railway_Model, is forum member @Look-its-evan / @evankelly260996. I wonder if it’s his own re-spray or if it’s a Chris Dyer or Gerry Hoey job.
  14. They look more like Mk2D/E/F coaches.
  15. Looks like the newest batch of Class 37’s are on their way to stores!
  16. Here’s to the next five years, @Dempsey, strength to strength! Such a valuable service for those who can’t get it done themselves. Thank YOU!
  17. Excellent to see it dealt with like this, great stuff! Still a handful in stock. Those blue ones with the large logos look amazing.
  18. Little Jimmy doesn’t get either when he buys a solitary loco. Ironically, if he did get either included with his loco, there may be a chance of comparing the two as ready to go purchases.
  19. Fabulous, @ttc0169! I can almost smell the fry-up!
  20. Still way off. Most people already have a TV and chair at home. Buying a gaming monitor and a gaming chair would be way above the norm. There’s no comparison between a single loco and a gaming console, sorry.
  21. That makes sense… No, wait… That “tracks”…
  22. Possible, but we’re splitting hairs over the semantics of remove vs. choose to omit.
  23. While the MM website isn’t the best for news, it does function to some extent as an archive. Frustrating not knowing what’s going on, nor when, but if the likes of A/S / IRM, Mark’s Models and Rails of Sheffield are going to be stockists, keeping an eye on their websites may help. As @j11sty pointed out, @BosKonay removed the Murphy Models 071 project from the Project Updates area on the A/S / IRM website. I’m sure it will be added back in whenever there’s news.
