  1. Some interesting formations in there!
  2. Rails of Sheffield have a lot of O Gauge stock on offer the last few months: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/bargains?tags_scale_vsofeb5rx8ncvkx4f1i9n6kd=O-Gauge I'm not a fan of the 52's nor 58's, but you can't complain about those prices. A Stroudley coach or three would be nice for anybody on the fence over the half price Terriers.
  3. Might be an idea to run both with bodies removed so you can compare the heat from various components.
  4. €75 including postage for just one wagon? Triple the price, @leslie10646, don't just double it! https://www.ebay.es/itm/266704807557
  5. You can trim most of the url back to make your life easier: https://www.ebay.es/itm/395221871562
  6. How about moving Dugort to Malahide, merging it with the Casino railway, and renting out the Dugort room to OTHER suckers looking for storage? If only you knew somebody involved enough... Oh, wait...
  7. The eyesight is going with old age, and too much sun, so the O Gauge stuff is a way of compensating. No chance I'll be touching the new locos for crazy eBay prices, they're even worse! May pick up one or two from Rails, depending on shipping cost.
  8. Two Bachmann / Murphy Mk2A coaches for €113, not bad: https://www.ebay.es/itm/176265162900
  9. So, I had saved up a bunch of money for several of the new Murphy Models 141's / 181's. At the last minute, when it came time to convert EOI to pre-order, I decided not to go ahead. I don't like the direction that the pricing is going for Irish locos, and if anybody else has worked for Canarian wages, they'll understand why! Thus, while slowly greening with envy as the locos approach, and seeing @tonto.irl posting pictures of his advance issue on Facebook, I decided to de-green myself a little and spend some of that hard-earned cash:
  10. Lots of behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube, such as this:
  11. Stunning stuff, @leslie10646, can't wait to get my hands on a few!
  12. I see two new fans of these 1:18 trucks lurking! I don't blame you, @LNERW1 and @Tarabuses, they are out if this world, and having seen some in the flesh, the photos don't do them justice.
  13. Anybody who either doesn't or hasn't like or liked Thomas and Friends has no soul.
  14. That was sarcasm, Ray, as apparently now we're saying it every time we do it. So, @Noel, now that you have free time to use the forum, how about those numbers, please? You are adamant that catering is required, and I'd love to see the basic calculations to support that position? Broad strokes, though, please, as I'm just a lowly cleaner, not a Retired Company Director nor anything so grand. Am I being unreasonable in asking for more info? I don't think so?
  15. My point was that the IRM lads obviously have plenty of experience with graffiti...
  16. Have I missed an announcement somewhere?
  17. Just one clarification. Much as I love 80's and 90's models, the real life prototypes were anything but comfortable. And the food was crap. And they smelled wierd. You're right, though, that @JasonB fellow is an impudent little toad, these kids today don't know anything, with their rap music and their Tik-Tok videos.
  18. So, I have a question... When, not if, but when, IRM release an 80: A. Will there be a limited edition DCDR version? And: B. Will it be an authentic representation of the one in the video?
  19. Brrrrrrringgggg. "Hello?" Oscar Wilde called, he wants his sarcasm back. As @minister_for_hardship, @Galteemore and @JasonB have all said, it's about the numbers. You can't take just one piece of 1984, slot it into today and expect it to behave the same. I posted this in the other thread on the same topic, basically agreeing with the lads above, but with two threads on the same thing, the topic can become muddy:
  20. I think @JasonB means that the world has changed in the past 40 years. Progression in some areas and regression in some areas. This particular thread is about progress. Almost nobody cares about catering on the trains, people just want to get around quickly. Wages and prices are in an ever-increasing spiral, and in order to keep up, everything else needs to be stripped back. If we go back forty years, to the days of catering on trains, Ireland was broke, nobody had anything, nobody could afford anything, the trains were lovely to look at but crap to travel on, it was a different world. Adding things like catering back in would literally be throwing money away for nothing.
  21. Just devine. These 1:18 trucks are something else! Scaniaaaaaaaa!!!!!
