  1. Hi PVS, welcome to the forum
  2. Stunning, I love the weathered track. Well done
  3. Hi Wiggy, I made the schematic from sections of the layout in Anyrail, I copied the sections in Anyrail to a new drawing. Printed it out on A4 and then glued t to 6mm MDF then covered it with clear contact adhesive. The switches I got on Ebay, http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Hornby-Peco-Alternative-Points-Switch-10Pack-SW301b-/160496061737?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item255e4f8d29 I used bi-colour 3mm LED's red/green. http://www.ebay.ie/itm/5-x-Bi-Colour-LED-3mm-Red-Green-UK-1st-Class-Postage-/121121721694?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item1c336acd5e You will need bezels and a 1k resistor. I used the Peco PL-15 twin micro switch, one for switching the polarity on the electrofrog and the other to switch the LED's on the mimic panel, I also fitted some signals to the platform level, they also switch with the points. Here's a couple of pics of the mimic panel
  4. Cheers! As the layout is only 10 feet long there was not enough room for a proper station.
  5. The gradient is 3%, the station breaks up the oval track and you can get a rake of 6 into it.
  6. Cheers Eoin!
  7. Yes he is delighted, its a 10' x 5' layout
  8. Just completed this layout for a member of the model railway society of Ireland. Scenery is next on the list, its an all Irish layout.
  9. Welcome to the forum. There is a wealth of information here with the collective knowledge of the members. Best of luck with your layout.
  10. Very tasty! I wonder could you swop the cab out for a 141? Hmmmmm
  11. Nice work Patrick, did you use the Peco platform edging?
  12. Eoin, that looks great. We will have to put scenery on that side of the baseboard to set the scene! Well done
  13. Very nice work, well done. Love your pics on flickr
  14. Stunning Kieran, looks fantastic.
  15. James May made an attempt a few years ago, it was 10 miles long in 00! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1209122/James-Mays-model-railway-record-bid-derailed-vandal-attack.html

  25. Wow, that's a nice layout. I will just use a hand winch as an electric winch is very expensive.
