  3. Very tasty, lovely job on the weathering
  4. Looks great Kieran, really starting to come to life
  5. DCC is a modified DC supply to the track. Similar to AC except the sine wave is different. You only need boosters for very large layouts running a lot of locos at once. Just connect the controller to the track. But with DCC it needs clean connections to the track, preferably soldered.
  6. Sounds like it was a great success George, I'm raging that I missed it. I'll be there next year.
  7. Beautifully done, looks so natural. Well done
  8. I'll try George, many thanks. Thanks Rich:tumbsup: Cheers Broithe, did you bake them yourself?
  9. It is with great regret that I will not be able to attend the Cork model fair on Sunday due to ill health. Hope it goes well for you George.

  13. Happy birthday Seamus, have a good one
  14. No worries
  15. 3mm MDF will do the trick, the slotted stuff is 6mm thick and harder to blend into the wall at each end.
  16. Mighty generous Bosko! I will build a sample as Eoin said, I will have track on it and some scenery on it for Blackrock
  17. That was a very lucky escape, but not from the law though.

    Great find, good website.
  22. Lovely work Eamonn, love those Bells
  23. The only problem wth that way Eoin its much more difficult to align the modules before clamping. I use a boring machine for drilling out the holes for alignment dowels which gives perfect alignment. If someone wants to use their own baseboard I could supply a plate to go on the end of their baseboard with pre fitted alignment dowels.
  24. I like that idea Eoin, what about this as a corner?
  25. DCC is definitely the way to go, we could run a single line along the main line for analogue. It would be a nightmare to try run the two together. The big question is what DCC controller? If we have a long run train control will need to be handed over along the way. What about JMRI and a sprog? Any ideas?
