  1. Looks fantastic, I'm sure Anto and Kirley will be happy!
  2. They're here, finally! And to prove it, a dreadful pic of mine... Must say the overall fit and finish does look to have been greatly improved to me. Well done MM!
  3. Must say the Portarlington station buildings are pretty. Skerries too.
  4. Interesting, herself's mother hails from Cootehill. Might try to go for a gander next time I'm there...
  5. Very nice as always Popeye, any chance of seeing more of your layout?
  6. Think you recall right. I mist admit I preferred the old Bedford TKs. I seem to remember them as flatbeds with either a tail lift or a dropside at the end and small old style containers on them. Anybody know of any pics of them?
  7. The Mitsubushi rigid might still be around Inchicore. It definitely was around a year ago. Might be an internal stores truck now. I remember there were a few of these, some in all over black too at one stage.
  8. Nice! These are currently going for 90 of the queens notes at model junction. No sound of course!
  9. More than welcome to these six axle bogies here. Maybe you can swap me for your roof for the SSM brake van...
  10. You can add 183 to that list. From the same collection of pics Great find Eiretrains. Now who will be the first to model 086 in that condition?
  11. Brendan had a brakevan on the end of a modern liner train last week cleaning the track it was eating at me. I need help!!!
  12. Yep it looks like a great job, no plate on the sides of the cabs either. Looks like they'll be around for another few years yet!
  13. But I'd know. And that's the killer!
  14. Love this pic http://chrisplayfair.smugmug.com/popular/2452466573_2nvCSBG#!i=2452466501&k=M9WKPsB
  15. The detailed Hornby Pullmans come with two different side styles. I have no idea which one is correct for the Irish coaches but it's worth remembering before buying.
  16. The four axle or the six axle bogies? All their basic components for a drive train can be bought directly from their site (http://www.katousa.com) and shipping is pretty reasonable considering it's from the States.
  17. The Railroad Pullman is a different bodystyle of coach compared to the Hornby detailed version which may mean it's unsuitable for the Irish version?
  18. but it's okay; "1 free small scale track" absolutely free!!!! Dream on.
  19. Maybe I could get the buffet car to throw me out a breakfast on its way by in the mornings...
  20. Is Bowie not the original Lady Gaga? She's seems to have ripped off pretty much anyone! But yet the musical press fawn at how 'original' she is....
  21. Could build a decent layout in one of them. Mind you I notice that the aerial shot is of two tracks. There's four tracks there now and the two additions are literally right next to the houses. I think I'd be looking for my DCC remote to turn off the sound after a while!
  22. That guy has been selling caravans out of that house for years, so not a halting site as such. Being in Neilstown would be my worry and they're very close to the tracks and have been derelict for a few years now. Mind you only down the road so could still send the washing home to the ma!
  23. Cheers lads, done a bit more today. I bought a handrail set which also included plastic grab irons. I decided to try them in the interests of saving money but they're both a pain in the ass to fit and they look a bit rubbish. I will be looking for wire sets instead. Rich - Yep, love the original trilogy and lego, so it's great to combine the two. The box is from a R2D2 model which herself got me for Christmas. I have a few others too, like the imperial walker in the background. Just need more space for the rest! Anthony - She's going to be proper manky, don't worry about that! . A loco at nearing the end. I've also started drawing up a list of stuff to get for my own SD9 rebuild since I wont be using the Athearn one I bought cheap for a Sulzer kit now. I'll have to start it soon enough!
