  1. Looks like they have Kitt on the payroll now, not a sign of the Hoff though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtKUaMKXB1Y&feature=g-u-u
  2. He'll be wanting the Blue Pullman back. As much as I love the yank stuff, I will always have my main interest in the British stuff since the early 60's, just so much variety, good looking locos and somewhat familiar locations.
  3. Pretty much everything on that side is amazing, full of inspiration for any modeller, not just those of us who love British 70s modelling!
  4. Very nice. Despite the popularity of Irish Narrow Gauge as modelling subjects we don't seem to get much of it on the site. There's a nice Irish NG layout in the current Model Railway Journal which I picked up last night purely for a gander at the porno that this Hornsey Broadway http://www.emgauge70s.co.uk/layout_hornsey.html
  5. 'Ah sure they're only second hand love, a steal.' As I learn in the day job, it's how you package the message!
  6. Have the retailers across the water got their initial allocation yet?
  7. You look like Biffo in that pic! Jesus.
  8. Any chance there could be a night done in one of the Dublin Marks shops too? I think it could be a winner, failing that one of the clubs even? Good idea guys.
  9. I didn't really bother to be honest Rich. I like them and all and maybe 5 years ago I would've been excited about it but I think they just left it too long. Brown gets on my wick anyway. The Beatles were just a boy band (big fan of Revolver)
  10. We are pretty sure it was not set up stateside, but is best left ignored. Let's stay on topic of those lovely coaches.
  11. +1. Rafa got some stick in the past, not really sure why. Sure, Inter was a disaster, but when you follow the special one and have a meddling owner it is always going to be. I'm sure he'll be fine with Chelski...... Seriously though, the only big mistake he made as 'pool boss for me was alienate Alonso. His final season was poor, but there was a civil war occurring in the boardroom, and it was bound to affect the whole club. Now our current manager reckons finishing in a similar position (7th) this season would be fantastic. Just shows how far Liverpool have fallen. I still think the big problem with Torres is the service and style of play. Chelsea were not set up to get the best out of him when they 1st signed him, now his confidence is shot to pieces. I would love to see him back on Merseyside in January, fat chance of that happening mind you. He really did join the wrong club.
  12. Just when I was bemoaning the lack of good pictures of Irish wagons of this period to myself the other day. Superb stuff, it's probably the one period that would persuade me to model Irish properly some day.
  13. BS Models, the clue is in the name lads.
  14. Plenty of photos, from every angle please!
  15. Yep you got it right Rich, lasted 10 mins at McCartney and then had to leave. Can't stand him personally. James Brown was the highlight for me, music-wise that was! Anyone going to Warley be sure to check out Liverpool Lime Street, spectacular layout.
  16. Love the workbench lad, how I would like mine. And your output? Superb as always!
  17. Are these the rest of the 071 and 082s in black and silver or the next batch of new releases?
  18. Well done lads, looks great. With the new fair in Dublin coming up in December too we're being blessed with opportunities to spend our moola!
  19. 2004 Rich, great craic (from what I can remember). Wouldn't be rushing back though.
  20. Great to see Wes, Pilkington and Chris do well. With Long having a great afternoon too it's been a good weekend for the Irish contingent in the EPL, but I'm sure Trap will do his level best to ignore that. Especially delighted for Wes and Long, two former league of Ireland players showing good players can come out of the league. Would love to see Hughton manage us some day, a fantastic coach who did a great job at Newcastle and is really getting Norwich together.
  21. Yep, a peg on the nose is a must. I've been to Glastonbury, living in a tent for a week and nobody there got near some of the great unwashed I saw (and smelt) in my only visit to Warley. As for the Bachmann scrum, it's 10 times worse than Penneys January sales. I preferred Ally Pally, smaller show, Bachmann still sold off the bargains and it was a ten minute walk for me when I lived over there. Picking up Bachmann 20s for less than 30 quid was nice.
  22. What a waste of a good chopper, and confirms his madness with a stupid price.
  23. Yes, something the new Murphy's locos fall down on, they look like Tanning Booths!
