I want to give you a week long ban for posting the daily fail up on here! At least these trains might run on time.... (Doubt it's anything to do with 'PC', more to do with opening the brand up to new markets. Lots of money to make in China for example, and the whole thing is more American now than ever. And no, we aren't making it!)

All our white bubbles are officially sold out! Thank you everyone for supporting us. Sales of orange bubbles have picked up significantly in the last couple of weeks too so they are starting to run low on stock too. If you have a set of white bubbles thrown in with your tara or plough order then don't worry, we have them here waiting to be combined and shipped to you. Cheers everyone! Fran

Our Tara wagons are getting ever closer to completion, but due to all those lovely separately applied parts and the odd regional power cut in China (!) they are still a couple of weeks away from delivery. We are as disappointed about this as you are, as we really cant wait to receive them and get them out to you! The finish line is almost in sight and in a couple of weeks they will be rolling around your layouts at home or at your club, or in your collections. We are over 50% sold out as is, so make sure you don't miss out: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/tara-mines

Pretty sure that's the old GSWR one. A bit of a 'triggers broom' but part of it was about 100 years old? @Glenderg has all the info on this one!

And then there were two... We have two packs of white bubbles left, both pack D. Grab them before they go! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/cement-bubbles/products/two-axle-cement-wagon-multi-pack-d

We were working through the site on Friday which was throwing up erroneous figures, which has now been since corrected. The few left is more than 30 packs, but can also assure you that it's less than 120. It's worth keeping an eye on the stock levels so nothing is missed out. Cheers, Fran

As I said Noel sales is the biggest KPI so the proof will be in those figures. I’m really hoping that I’m going to be proved wrong, believe me! Anyway, since we have shown that IRM is going to spoil the CIE era enthusiast in the coming year, I think it’s best to move back to this topic being about the fert and leave the CIE topic to rest for now. Cheers, Fran

Hi Alan, Many thanks for that. You make some good points. We offered the survey through several channels, not only here. We had it on our FB page, which was then shared in numerous of the big FB groups over there, RMWeb, email mailshot to our registered customers and was a news item in all the modeling magazines. The response was huge considering the market so we would stand by it as accurate. It’s not all we have based the assumption on, it’s also sales of items such as the Orange bubbles. Anyway, as the CIE plough testifies, we’re backing CIE era, of which sales have been okay so far. It’s no real secret that CIE ballasts are coming next year, blue Tara’s will appear too, and CIE ferts and items like B&I and Bell liners will fit the CIE era too over the next 12-24 months. I don’t see how we can back it any more than that tbh! At the end of the day the biggest indicator of what era is most popular is sales. If these CIE era models sell, we’ll back the era as well as we plan to next year for years to come! As for Ferts, end of the year is still on course! Start dropping those hints! Cheers, Fran

Our minimum order quantity per running number / livery is 250. Hence it has to be this way! Cheers, Fran

Hi everyone, We had the factory on this week and they have advised us that the Tara's wont be ready until very late August. It turns out that they underestimated how detailed the wagons are and as a result want to take their time in getting them finished to the ultra high standard we expect and what they pride themselves on. We know it's disappointing that they will be another couple of weeks, but rest assured that they will absolutely be worth it. We rather top notch and a couple of weeks later than planned, rather than rushed and not up to scratch. Sorry about this short delay but when you get them in your paws we think you'll agree that they will be well worth the wait. Cheers, Fran (on behalf of the IRM crew!)

In fairness our problems were all generated in the West and a notorious man in the east. Thankfully we found some friends in the East (As well as a couple closer to home) who saved our bacon on that score. The truth will come out on that someday!

Tara Production nearing Completion! Production of our highly anticipated Tara Mines wagons is nearing completion and should be finished early next week before dispatch to Dublin by air! As you can see, components such as the chassis features high levels of details and the final assembly and checking is now taking place. We anticipate that orders will begin shipping during the final week of August. It's been a long wait but we firmly believe that they will be well worth it. Have you placed your order yet? Don't miss out on what promises to be our best model yet! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/tara-mines

Hi everyone, I know this is very, very short notice, but I will be doing a short talk and a meet and greet at the The Model Railway Club rooms at Keen House this Thursday evening (August 9th). The Model Railway Club have very kindly agreed to facilitate us for this event and are also throwing their doors open to the general public. It would be fantastic to meet you there and answer any questions you have about IRM /Accurascale, the industry and what we are all about (except 'what models are we doing next?' no dice on that one!) We know it's short notice, but I just happen to find myself in London this week! I also heard a rumour about the club having a fully licenced bar?? Doors open from 7pm and the talk and Q&A begins at 8pm. So, if you're UK based and in the London area it would be great to see you there for a chat! (P.S - I will also be on the following railtour so if you cannot make Thursday and you are on the train on Saturday I'll be happy to chat too!) More info: http://www.themodelrailwayclub.org/ Cheers, Fran

We are delighted to announce that our forthcoming highly exclusive CIÉ/Irish Rail 24850-24854 series ballast plough van, is now available to pre-order in original CIE condition as an additional bonus model in the 2018 IRM range. Five of the CIÉ/Irish Rail 24850-24854 series vans were introduced in 1978 to supersede elderly pre-grouping vans for the Civil Engineering Department. They usually ran in pairs, top and tailing ballast hopper trains with the plough/veranda facing inward across the Irish railway network until their withdrawal in 2013. We had previously announced the vans in later IR and IE condition, but after calls from modellers an additional pack in original CIE condition has now been added to the production run, strictly limited to 250 packs. The CIE plough vans will be faithful to the prototypes, lacking the later applied mesh screening over all the windows and it will also feature the half-sized doors on the veranda of each van. The vans will come finished in yellow with CIE roundels as per the real thing. The model will utilise the same chassis as the ballast hopper and cement bubbles as per prototype, and will include features such as fully detailed interior, including bunks and heaters for the crew, as well as full DCC control of interior and tail lights via a two function 6 pin decoder. (sold separately) The vans will also feature a switch for these features for analogue control users. The Plough Vans will be made in a strictly limited production run with the vans coming in a pack of two for a sale price of €119.95. They will make a perfect companion for a new run of IRM Ballast hoppers with CIE roundel livery which we plan to release in 2019. Discount bundles will also be offered for those buying all three packs of plough vans, with a special price of €340 for all three sets, meaning the CIE set will cost just €100, a saving of €19.95! This will be open to those who have previously ordered both IR and IE packs who wish to add the CIE pack to their order, with an email being sent to customers with a personal discount code enclosed later today. If you have already bought one pack, and wish to add the other two and receive the special offer, email us with your order number and we will process it for you. This price reflects the very small production volume and complexity of the model. The adapting of the moulds to account for the tooling changes required to offer the plough van means that delivery of all the plough van models including IR and IE livery will now be pushed back to October 2018. Orders are now being taken here.

I believe the Hornby to Hungary rumour is nonsense. Intermountain has sadly been affected too. And before anyone asks; we’re fine! But we hope those affected get sorted really soon. cheers, Fran.
-
That will be sorted too @scahalane but there will be manufacturing tolerances to consider. We’re working with the factory to find a nice and easy solution to remove the loads @popeye cheers, Fran
