The 08 and 47 share the shunting duties at the factory sidings

NIR Hunslet locomotive 102 arrives at Tara junction with a laden two axle cement train from Limerick to Belfast which it took over in Northwall-and after 087 passed through with a Cork express Mk3 set-it departed for Belfast, Meanwhile 048 passes through with the 17:10 Fridays only Cravens set to Ballina. Function 7 (drive hold) and function 5 ( heavy load) have been used to good effect on 102 and really brings out the super sound on the locomotive.

Currently in the workshop is a silver fox BSK GSV kit which will become 3172 to compliment 3173.

Having put in some mileage since entering service on Tara junction,Mk2 a/b coach 4103 was shunted into position by locomotive 190 at the MPD to allow a bogie exchange to take place. Click on the video to see the operation taking place.

Thanks to @Past-Avenuefor supplying the grain wagons-they finally made it to Ballisodare mill sidings this morning,having been worked from Sligo goods-and seen passing through Tara junction prior to their arrival, They are seen here arriving behind 185 and being shunted by B188.

A second locomotive 129 was recently purchased from @WRENNEIRE this becoming the fifteenth 121 on Tara junction, This loco will be renumbered as 135, Having completed running in the locomotive-it was allocated to the outer suburban Park Royal set-and after arrival at the station it was uncoupled from the set and operated to the turntable to be turned then back to work the return service to Dublin Connolly.

With thanks to @Past-Avenue for the visit to Tara junction last week and bringing some of his excellent grain wagons-here we see locomotive 185 hauling two wagons and a brake van through Tara junction while enroute to Ballisodare mill.

I spent an enjoyable couple of hours at the exhibition this morning, it was great to catch up with some friends again -a nice selection of layouts and trade stands were on display and a few purchases were made. A few photos.

Night time operations on Tara junction 054 works an outer suburban Park Royal service forming a Mullingar-Dublin Connolly train 124+134 work the 19:00 Northwall-Waterford BELL liner 175+129 work an empty timber train to Ballina from Waterford. 130+133 work the evening 18:30 Dublin Connolly-Sligo Mk2D set, 085 work the Waterford-Dublin Heuston Mk2 a/b set out of platform 2 followed by a non stop run on the up road.

50049+50043 hauling two TPO and one BSK coach from Birmingham to Doncaster works for attention pass through Ashburton grove.

Correct I have a four car in commuter livery-.not for sale at the moment.

Under the floodlights -the crew of Hunslet locomotive 102 take a break between shunting duties at the Lakeview freight yard. Love the sound and slow speed control characteristics of the locomotive when shunting.

B188 comes off the fuelling point to work a train to Sligo goods as A1 goes to the fuelling point for a FOW exam, B125 will follow B188 to Sligo goods once it has cleared the section to Sligo

I thought I posted this video…..well here goes ….enjoy the Hunslet hauling the laden fertliser,036 on the ammonia and 018 on the Sligo oil.
