  1. The 37 and 08 share the shunting and making up of freight trains from the factory sidings. Those BELL containers end up anywhere……
  2. 177+129 work a Limerick cement factory-Tullamore bogie bulk train-watch as they go through the process of running around the train at Tara junction. 220 works a short Mk2 a/b set through the station forming a Dublin Heuston-Athlone service, 160 hauling a single BR GSV and a TPO forms a Dublin Connolly-Cork service

  16. With all due respect Andrew….as I have said in a previous thread- IRM models were not too visible at recent UK model exhibitions.
  17. Two of the tanks arrived in Lakeview freight yard along with a “Manchester liner”container.
  18. Retro liveried locomotive 071 works the Waterford-Lakeview freight yard empty timber train through Tara junction station-and after arrival there the locomotive was uncoupled and went to the MPD for servicing, The freight yard pilot locomotive 143 then shunted the train into position for loading.
  19. 10-15 high powered locomotives would be required for Irish operations, The 071s will be withdrawn in 3-5 years so unless IE do a class 69 job on the 201s-there won’t be any other options in the short term.
  20. Low floor container wagons I’m told-but yes DJ-no mention of any future motive power….which is badly needed at this stage.
