Having received an exam and FOW at the MPD-017 was released to traffic-and has been allocated to the Mk2D Sligo set for the weekend,replacing 073, The locomotive is seen here having gotten the road across to the down main to couple up to the Mk2D set on platform 3.

The 31 has charge of the cartic transfer to Liverpool from Leeds-passing a 40 hauled freight on Ashburton grove. IMG_6097.mov

JHB-RE point one-a recent trial of biomass containers in Ballina freight yard was for a future freight flow from Foynes to a Midland area location-see photos -so all is not lost on that front Point two-increased XPO traffic will commence over the next few weeks from Ballina-Waterford-Ballina with a biomass contract due next year I would agree with you on points three and four

Friday night fun at the junction…. 007 works the 15:00 Waterford-Northwall BELL liner 086 works the 13:00 Northwall - Northesk BELL liner 075 works the 14:46 Cork-Heuston Mk3 set 080 works the 11:35 Galway-Heuston Mk2 a/b set 073 works the Dublin Heuston-Limerick Mk2D set 048 worked a laden two axle bubble cement from Platin to Tullamore.

A blast from the past-a 1970s Dinky toys Atlantean double decker in the yellow pages livery - I had one back then and later destroyed it by painting it in Bus Eireann livery around 1987/88. So it was great to pick up this one for £10 last weekend.

Congratulations on an excellent presentation of Northport quay in RM900, I didn’t realise it was based on the former Ballina-Kilala branch until I seen the map-the actual junction from Swinford was to be north of Foxford station had it been built-so close to my former home…well done David

A chance find and purchase of two Cravens coaches at the Erne model railway clubs exhibition in Enniskillian yesterday led me to recreate an old favourite of mine-the Ballina branch train, A bonus was the fitting of passengers and interior lighting with stay alive feature-the rear coach being nicely weathered. 190+184 were allocated to the set.

44007 has settled in nicely-and is seen here shunting the 102t tankers out to the loop for onward dispatch for refilling.

080 works the Mk2 a/b set while forming the Galway-Dublin Heuston service 132+126 work a Mk2 d Dublin Connolly-Sligo service 073 works another Mk2 d set forming a Dublin Heuston-Waterford service 007 works the BELL liner from Sligo to Northwall. 174+127 work a Ballina-Dublin Heuston relief service formed of a Cravens set. 130+143 work a Shelton abbey-Tralee laden fertliser train.
