  1. Locomotive 085 is rumoured to be the test bed locomotive.
  2. A rare sight was seen passing through Tara junction station this morning when locomotive 133 operated bonnet first while working a Guinness transfer liner to the Lakeview freight yard, The train consisted of four MX two axle wagons. (MX wagons please if possible IRM)
  3. We intend to have the site opened to the public in the next few weeks.
  4. Returning to Maam cross-the site was being made ready for its first customers, Some gravel was distributed along the goods siding platform beside coach 2421-the office building will be the next project on the to do list. Another side on ballast plough van was painted with primer along with some other under frame details. Preparations were made to install the Maam cross station name board on the up Galway platform. Finally toilet facilities were reinstated in the Mk3 sleeper coach.
  5. Two of my favourite buses are out and about this evening operating the 48a and 11 routes…..
  6. A single leyland is surrounded by AECs at the Lakeview freight yard.
  7. Latest addition to the airline fleet is Aer Lingus Boeing 737-500 EI-CDA seen here after departure from the airport while enroute to Manchester.
  8. Giving the SD70 ACe a run to the Lakeview freight yard…who knows what might happen….

  10. A wheelchair user boards Arrow railcar 2601 at the bay platform on Tara junction.
  11. Sunday evening we see a mixed formation DMU operate local services as 37116 propels the inspection saloon through Ashburton grove.

  13. An early morning start at the Lakeview MPD as 121/141/181 locomotives are prepared for liner train duty on Tara junction.

Work continues at the Maam Cross Connemara Railway Project, Ballast plough van 24853 is in the early stages of its bodywork overhaul and repaint, A base undercoat of grey was applied to one side of the bodywork and veranda today to assess what will be required from the forthcoming body makers visit, Thank you goes to the Iarnrod Éireann paint spray facility at Inchicore for help and advice on this ongoing project. Also more work was completed on the fantastic signal cabin with interior and exterior work ongoing, Finally our hard working Deutz locomotive received some maintenance and was used for several light engine movements up and down the line and all is well
