  1. Friday night on Tara junction,Cravens coach 1523 bring back memories of nights seeing the real thing on the Ballina branch,here we see passengers enjoying the comfort of the coach as the steam heat oozes from the pipes between coaches….
  2. The class 40 is about to depart from the MPD for MGR duties.
  3. They sure are DJ…..they really capture the look of the interior-just as I remember them in service.
  4. Lights,camera-action….. With the darker evenings drawing in I have commenced fitting interior lights to my coaching stock fleet, The CIE Mk3 set has already been successfully fitted with lights so attention has turned to the Cravens sets-the lights have really made a difference to the coaches I just need to work on the steam heating effect…. Some passengers have been fitted and more will be added over the coming weeks.
  5. 24 wagons were built -36001-36024 Introduced to traffic in 2001, mainly used on Dublin-Cork and Dublin-Limerick container trains, they were restricted these route due to them being prohibited from operating over mechanically signalled points for some strange reason They were subsequently stored when both Cork and Limerick container depots closed in 2005, 12 wagons are the maximum in a set and are air braked with a through Vacuum pipe also fitted 14 were returned to traffic in 2010 when DFDS commenced operating from Waterford to Ballina with the remainder stored at Limerick,North wall and two at Inchicore, For a short period of time they operated with the standard LX bogie wagons, two wagons were marshalled next to the locomotive for IWT They are to be returned to traffic to enable extra container trains operate between Ballina and Waterford for XPO
  6. The latest Graham Farish N gauge locomotive release has made its way to Ashburton grove- 20 172 Redmire has joined the ever increasing locomotive fleet.
  7. Thanks Colin, Currently there are only about 10 5’3” gauge track panels laid at the site.
  8. Recent progress at Maam cross seen extension of the 5’3” track, External painting of the signal cabin into authentic livery of green and cream and connecting the interlocking with point rodding
  9. Great to see three of the Class 89 models at the Making tracks 3 model railway at Chester Cathedral earlier today-such fantastic detail-so much so I pre ordered the 1986 version. Also great to meet Patrick,Fran and all the Accurascale team there too

  11. Standard MK3 7101 has been fitted with interior lighting,painted seats and tables just waiting for customers to experience the retro look of the coach.
  12. All going to plan-I intend to visit Chester cathedral and making tracks layout on Saturday week.
  13. JHB-216 has the required equipment fitted since it’s Belmond days to operate cross border and hence its use on Enterprise services P.S-Congrats to yourself and Barry on another excellent publication-Rails through Wexford-received yesterday and enjoying the read so far.
