It was before November 2014 when i last spotted her in Waterford.

Yep, had planned to get one for a while so thought what the heck . Pretty impressed with it so far just waiting on the bogies to arrive before i make a start on it.

Looking forward to building this .

Thankfully the level crossing opened pretty quick, armed with visas and passports, a quick sprint through Co. Kilkenny & Co. Tipperary to catch her in Carrick on Suir. Despite heavy traffic and a traffic jam in Mooncoin i got there just in time. Exchanging tokens & the rake going through the station.

A quick spin out to Gouldings level crossing to catch her leaving Waterford. Barely got there and could hear 076 notching up leaving Sallypark yard, a few minutes later she passed the level crossing.

A quick spin from Sallypark yard to Carrick on Suir. 077 in the yard next to the fueling road. 742 after its adventures down the Belview section. 076 & the sperry/weedspray rake were on the outside siding next to the river. .

Yes, i ve seen both 208/209 with mark 3's over the years. The last time 8208 pulled mk 3's was on a scrap rake of mk3's been transferred for final scrapping.

Have a few of them in the spares box might be a nice and easy project.

Thats the one Broithe, its even in the book along with a loading/unloading pic.

Theres a book called "Trains, coal & Turf" by Peter Rigney, its well worth getting a copy of it as it goes thru the emergency fuel crisis in detail.

There was oil traffic from Cork, Creedon mentioned it in his CBSC trilogy. It was brought to Albert qy by truck from the nearby esso depot and loaded in the yard, i'm pretty sure it was to do with the oil traffic to the Magnesite works in Ballincourty. As far as i remember it went via the city railway till it was transferred to another Cork depot (water street). Seen as your layout is West Waterford based a lot of fertiliser traffic from Albatross New Ross to Cork & fertiliser from Net at Marino point could also be justified, the last traffic on the Cork city railway was from Albatross New Ross. Jbh posted up pics of both types of fertiliser wagons in Cork kent yard a while back. Suppose it would also be possible for earlier types of ammonia traffic to go via Waterford even though in reality it was the mid/late 1970's when it started.
