  1. Inchicore i would presume, their main base is Heuston so itd make sense. Still wonder why they're not including Waterford or Kilkenny in their tours surely the lure of waterford crystal would raise an eye brow or two among the elite customers they are trying to get to go on these tours
  2. Thanks for all the kind comments , a lot more pics added over the last few months.
  3. 201's could be a problem as well , the length of train is the main issue i heard off with a 11 coach train it could create probs.
  4. 226 on home turf down by the river suir , its been a while since i managed to get a pic of her anywhere on the network.

  8. Very true, i ventured to the cornish ones a few times but i ve only started to go to the suir valley line since the kiddies came along(its about 5 miles away)
  9. Luckily for me, my older brother lives near Bristol so i get at least one visit to the line per year. Its well worth a visit

  14. Job , 071 leaving Waterford at 12:10, quick chase up to cat city to catch 461 & back home before dinner. just in case the hangover is too bad in the morning , heres 071 basking in the sunny south east capital this afternoon.
  15. I suppose i asked for that , my mistake it was more sorting out the brass itself than the paint. the bottles are to hold them down as otherwise it rolls up.
  16. Got myself a nice little bargain this morning, original mir brass sides. Problem is they re painted(badly), bit rough as they were previously attached to a coach and ideas on how to sort them out?
  17. Hes an excellent railway photographer at that. Always found IE employees very helpful for getting the "shot", this could change if people go where their not allowed. All it takes is one accident or near miss and things could change forever.
  18. I don t think the fares are that bad, bus is about the same but has the advantage of better & more regular services. Since the introduction of the timber people down here have been calling for a direct siding to the timber plant off either the New Ross or the Rosslare line either one would have probably paid its way over the years. As for kilkenny county council unless its north of Ballyhale they don t care about it unless Waterford want it. The level crossing at Abbey junction is only manned while a train is east of waterford plus Frank Cassin quay is rarely used so it can be left closed if needs be.
  19. Excellent job on both Richie
  20. I use the meteor dongle yoke or the phone, it does the job nicely.
  21. Now thats a good idea , there was also the weekly wagon transfer to/from limerick
  22. A few more shots of the relaying in the station area plus the former bell terminal.
