2. What are you missing Dive?
3. Wouldn t the main platform lines in Cork be considered tight? Not to mention the line down to the yard/depot.
4. All fyffes traffic comes into Ringaskiddy and has done for a few years now. They usually arrive direct from central America on Fridays onboard a Maersk container ship.
5. would this help?
6. Its only a matter of time, c class would be nice too
7. Marks models in Ireland or Hattons in the uk

9. Nice work, going to keep an eye on the c class conversion, the rnli lifeboat is coming along nicely .
10. Thank feck i gave up the smokes, its going to be an expensive year with all the new goodies coming out
11. Ncc jinty in the early 2000's? , the n class isn t bad either but i know what your saying. So i suppose yes would be the answer as these will be the first proper rtr irish steam loco run that weren t based on a uk loco.
12. I ve seen a few of their locos they are very good, they re expensive but well worth it.
13. Historically yes but not now, mk 3's are gone since 2009. Inchicore has the better facilities but with the refurbishments of the 071 class locos plus keeping nearly 40 locos in service along with the mk4's its relatively busy for the amount of personnel in the works. From what i can see all the coach related contracts were made in Belfast and were probably tendered on the basis that the work would be done in Belfast. Any movement in this would lead to expensive over runs on the budget.
14. Don t think Inchicore has the personnel to do the refurbishment work on the coaches, they did the majority of the work on the locos in fairness. As for North Dublin its only a matter of time before work will have to be done on the Northern line out of Connolly. Can t see any more major road projects been allowed in the area and as congestion is increasing public transport is the only answer.
15. Happy christmas lads
16. Youghal special leaving Glounthaune
17. Cork to Bantry service leaving Albert qy
18. The buildings at Kilmacthomas were originally timber and were replaced sometime after 1906 when both lines were part of the same company.
19. http://www.wellsgreen-tmd.co.uk/omwbjune06.htm Noel, take a look at this lads work hes been doing this kinda stuff for a good few years. For the c class the nearest uk loco in model form in terms of length is the class 16 which heljan have done in rtr in the past.
20. The design of the station building seems to be the lines standard design, Kilmacthomas & Durrow are almost exactly the same as it. Excellent pics JB
21. Heres my old one, just to echo what the lads have already said buy a secondhand bachmann cl 20, sell the body on ebay or another site (you'd be surprised how much they tend to go for ). To get the body to fit the chassis a few mm at each end needs to be paired off. Theres loads of decent pics in the net and if your stuck i ll send you on a few close up piccys. The class 20 chassis will easily pull a full realistic rake of coaches around any layout.
22. Eh i don t think he meant it as a donor for a 121, its just a comparison in the price.
23. They were used in the Cork area for Cork to Cobh services, they also done plenty of specials and did pop up in some surprising places in the south.
