  1. Hi All, Here is a few pics of progress on the layout. It is starting to take shape but there is still a lot to do especially with detailing.....that said I hope to have it completed early in the new year.
  2. Simply Stunning. Look forward to the next instalment!
  3. Thats brilliant. I love the weathered look of the bus especially around the wheels! It will look even better when you get the retro adverts. Keep them coming Noel
  4. Really starting to take shape. I love the use of foam which will keep the model light weight for transportation. Well done
  5. This looks like an excellent project and I will be keeping a close eye on it. If it is up to your usual standard Glenderg then we are in for a treat! Best of luck with the build
  6. A Little bit more progress! The IE HQ building is now complete and the Northstar Hotel is nearing completion. Now for the Station and the Concourse........ More to Follow over the next few weeks!
  7. Thanks for the comments lads. Work is progressing at a nice pace now & I am satisfied with the way the model is shaping up. Here is a few more photos showing progress. More will follow in the next few days.
  8. It's been a while since I last posted an update. I've been working away on IEs HQ. Like with other parts of the model it had to be shortened etc to fit into the layouts overall size. I'm reasonably happy with the way it is looking now and I should be able to start on the other buildings on Amines Street within the next couple of weeks. Here is a couple of pictures showing progress on the HQ building.
  9. Superb work as usual Mr TTC! Looking forward to the next installment
  10. As Warbonnet says the locomotive dates from the 1960s. It was built in France by B Richard of St Denis de l'hotel. It has a 3 cylinder 54hp air cooled Alstom Diesel Engine. It is still quite well maintained & was repainted a couple of years ago. I will get a photo during the week in work & post it up here for anyone interested.
  11. Hi Murrayec, I got my chassis from Sean Ryan who is a trader at many shows. He also takes part in the Bray Wheelers swapmeet. There is also a USA based online shop called Newhallstation. Here is a link to the model, http://www.newhallstation.com/store/product_info.php/cPath/23_25/products_id/634 With a bit of modifying the DMU could be turned into an IE 2800! Keep me posted on the possibility of the N gauge dart flat pack.
  12. Thanks Murrayec. It would be great if you could look into the n gauge one a bit further. Even if it is simply a flat plack kit I will build it.....saves me completely scratchbuilding! The chassis I had in mind is a Tomix one measuring 137mm in lenght x 17mm in width.
  13. Stunning Model, well done sir. Is there any hope you would produce the shell in N Gauge? (even in a very basic, flat, unmade form)
  14. Seanw12 I converted a farish 168 for the 22000 ICR. It is a reasonably easy conversion here is another picture of it.
  15. I got some more done over the weekend. Platform 5 is now nearing completion. Here is a few pics showing the roofing & Canopy.
  16. Lovely scene Noel! On BH Weekends relief services were so common a few years ago.....I would love to go back in time. Enjoy the weekend
  17. Ballast wagons look fantastic! Well Done Eamonn
  18. Simply stunning work. Well done & keep the updates coming
  19. Thanks Lads. I hopefully will have Platform 5 completed over the weekend. @UP6936 I used a farish 150 DMU as the basis for the 2800 adding sides to the unit to give it the correct shape.
  20. Excellent work as always Anthony
  21. Excellent Bridge Finnie. Look forward to more pics/clips:tumbsup:
  22. Th Link building is now completed......not before time too! The canopy on Platform 5 & railings in front of the link building are next on the hitlist.
  23. Thanks Lads for all the kind comments. I got a bit more done on the Link Building this evening. I just have to add some passengers to the stairs and then glaze it. Here are a few pictures of the latest work.
  24. Hi Folks, Its been a while since I last posted as progress has been very slow due to work commitments. I managed to get a bit done over the last week or so on the underpass & link building. This should be done early next week once I put the lift in so before I do that & put on the roof here are some pitcures.
